Total Body Yoga - Deep Stretch

Total Body Yoga is a deep stretch practice for the legs, back and hips. This session invites you on the mat to go deeper. This 45 min yoga practice is great for the lower back and the HIPS! Lean in, breathe deep, stretch it out and connect to something big.

This will be a good one to repeat weekly. Try it and see how your experience changes and unfolds.

    I'm a semi-newbie here. I recently finished 'Yoga Camp' (because what's summer without going to camp?), and loved it! Now that my son is settled back at school, I was planning to start the 'Revolution' series tomorrow. I needed something to segue, and there you were in my In Box with this (uhhmm, what's the word? oh yes...) YUMMY Deep Stretch video. It was the perfect way to start this late summer Sunday, and bridge me through to the 'Revolution' ahead. Thank you!

  3. Hi Adrienne. I have been doing Yoga for about 4 years through my local gym about once a week. I recently retired at 65 and found your sessions on YouTube. I started in January with the yoga revolution and absolutely love it. Since doing it every morning, I have noticed a big difference in my body and mind.

    Philly. Wow! It was so, so awesome to practice with you and all the folks who came out. I want you to know that I have been following you at home for a couple of years. I love your style and I feel that practicing with you at home has helped me to grow as a yogi. So much so that I started YTT this past weekend. I also want you to know that I had such a true Self Love moment with myself this morning in Philly. And with all those folks and you. It was beautiful and moving. Thank you for being you, for being real, and bringing yoga to such a cool place.

  8. thank you Adriene for your wonderful youtube classes which I have done every day for the last 42 days. It has helped me deal alot better with my grief as my Dad passed away 9 weeks ago. It gave me daily time to be in the moment and take care of myself. It allowed me to nurture my body while I processed my grief and be in a quite space. Some days I could only do a few minutes other times I could do half an hour. But yoga with you has now become part of my daily routine and I feel physically and emotionally so much better. I also have a dog who likes to join me on my mat and chill out. He is called Sky and is very good at showing off his down dog !.

A session that is designed to stimulate the creative mind, relax anxieties, and nurture tired neck, back, hand, arm and eye muscles. Every one of your posts is beneficial to me in my daily work as a book illustrator. Seeing what you would prescribe specifically for artists would be the cherry on the sundae.     Lately I've been feeling a bit restless and anxious about the future. I feel like a lot of things in my life are up in the air and I have a lot of decisions to make. Do you have a sequence you can recommend that would help me feel a bit more patient and less worried. Something that could help me be in the moment and just let things unravel, have a bit of faith in the future maybe. If you don't have a suitable video already could you make one? Recently found your channel and love all the stuff I've watched so far!

    Even though I took yoga classes 40 yrs ago, they didn't suit then, but now, at 76, I've started your beginner videos and can already feel the strong body underneath the extra 40 lbs I gained after menopause 25 yrs ago.

    Thank you so much for your calm instruction and wonderful spirit and how it improves my mood as well as my body. It makes an old lady proud to realize we don't have to lose our flexibility and strength,.or stress ourselves out going to the gym and just building muscle.

At 78 I have been doing a variety of yoga exercises (not very well) and other activities to maintain a modest level of fitness but for a while would get up in the morning with back pain that made me consider taking an aspirin each morning before beginning exercises. I decided against that feeling better a bit of pain and a healthy kidney.
    Fortuitously I came across this deep stretch exercise group of yours and tried it. First morning I felt somewhat better and now after 5 consecutive days can roll out of bed without that awful back discomfort. So thank you so much. I do not actually do justice to your routine and you would fall on the floor laughing if you saw how far off I am from your positions but it has been great.

    Firstly, I love love love the videos that you post and have followed you for several years now, you are an inspiration and help to ensure I am mindful and take care of myself as a whole, a hard lesson to learn sometimes!
    I came across you due to a back injury and being advised to practice core strengthening exercises, I honestly thought life as I knew it would never be the same again and that I would experience pain and limitation forever, well that hasn't happened, in large part to yoga!
    I am now nearly a qualified nurse, and here is my suggestion, would you consider doing a session aimed at nurses? I feel there may be many other like-minded people out there who would appreciate a session that helps them to stretch and strengthen after such long hours, and also to sooth and heal the mind in what can be an emotionally draining job at times.

    Anyway just something to consider 🙂

  23. I've probably done this deep stretch 10-12 times and every time I do it, I feel like I unlock another area that seemed to be locked, frozen or just really tight. But it's different areas almost every time. And the more I do it, the more AMAZING I feel every single time. I can't thank you enough, Adriene, for helping me to learn to and appreciate digging deeper, growing stronger and enjoying every breath. You are truly one of a kind.
