REVOLUTION: Day 3

Your Day 3 yoga practice invites you to accept and honor who you are and where you are each time you hit the yoga mat. You are going to meet resistance, perhaps you already have. So today, instead of turning off, away or giving up -we not only accept where we are but practice honoring it.

Today’s practice is alignment based, detoxifying, strengthening and therapeutic. We continue to learn our Revolution vocabulary! Honor this time for yourself, your body, your breath. Honore this commitment and your ritual of showing up.

You got this!

Namaste.

  1. Hi Andriene

This journey is beautiful! Thank you for creating it so willingly! I did not receive the Day 2 email. How can I receive it?

    With thanks.

  2. Morning! Absolutely loving this programme so thank you so much for your hard work but, to echo other comments, please please please could you send the videos earlier? I got up this morning with the intention(!) to practice before work but by the time the video came through I didn't have enough minutes to spare. I really want to follow your guidance and start my day with intent so please can you set them to release so all international followers can start the day with your wisdom!
    Thanks!

    1. I understand that the videos are released around 11:30 which didn't work for my schedule. I did one of the sessions twice so now the email is early for me! I work on yesterday's, today.

      1. Good Morning! Its pretty early here, but I'm on day 3. I followed 2 videos two days ago. From doing a yoga challenge at Bikram, I learned 2 practices count as 2 days...and so on. So I'm on time for my start time. I am honoring where I am right now and working on that alignment in my life as well as my body. So I am hoping by posting this view, maybe we can go easy on ourselves and accept where we are and go from there!
Much love! Enjoy this process. I know I will!
        ~C~

  3. Thank you for all your doing for the community and new members! You invite people to go to the mat in a way they want to return and even if I have some difficulties throughout some practices, your voice and humor gives me the powe to challenge myself. We get attached to you, you're an amazing teacher! Namatse
    An European girl,

  4. Dear Adriene,

thank you for putting all the work in this. I got a friend that says going on this journey with you has changed her life and I am eager to find out whether I can appreciate it just as much.
I will be one day behind because I prefer to do this in the morning and I'm 7 hours ahead of your time.
Keep it up with all the love and care and spirit πŸ™‚

  5. By the way, I really enjoy reading the daily email!
PS: Sorry if there are any English mistakes, english is not my mother tong.
Have an amazing day filled with joy and experience!

  6. Thank you ,
    Thank you ,
    Thank you ,
I'm really enjoying and appreciate the practice of 31days of YOGA REVOLUTION and send you lots of Peace, Love, and Positive Vibes.

  7. Hi Adriene!
Just a quick note to say how much you have helped me in my life. There's not enough space to say how much you have made me happy! Love you and love your yoga!
    Kindest Regards
    A HUGE fan
    Vanessa

  8. Hi Adriene! I love your videos and what you stand for. You inspire me so much and that's why I decided to join 31 days of yoga! I've been meaning to wake up early evey morning now and do yoga with you πŸ™‚ so i wanted to know if there's a specific time you upload your videos or just when you can?
    Thank you xxx gili

  9. Thanks so much for putting this together! I was wondering if you could upload the daily videos earlier? I was hoping to watch and exercise with them in the morning before heading to work (I am in London, GB) but unfortunately they are not released until I have left home. Thanks!

    1. I loved this video too, it really helped me work out some tension and emotions that felt icky and stuck for me today. Just what I needed! Thanks Adrienne! #yogarevolution

  10. You are amazing, thank you for another great start on a New year! Sometimes even my three year old daughter joins in on the yoga, and IT is usually hilarious and gives me an excuse to do the video two times πŸ˜€

  11. As usual, an amazing practice. I'm so grateful to be part of this Yoga Revolution.
    Namaste!!

  12. Loved this. I did it as soon as I got up but I found some pain in my upper back and neck during the very first fold - I probably should have done some neck and shoulder rolls before diving into this video first thing in the morning. I know for next time!

  13. Plunged straight in first thing this morning - great start to the day!
Please can the duration of each. Idea be added to the calendar - need bit of an idea how much time to set aside.

  14. Thankfully Day 3 downloaded for me! Yesterday I repeated Day 1 (which was so worth repeating anyway!). Today's video was awesome - gentle but toning. Thank you so much x

    1. Hi Liz, I had the same problem with day 2, but found it on youtube. she posts in both places. which was great for getting day 2 practice

  15. Loving the videos, will be doing this one later, but I do have a question. I'm experiencing a lot of pain in my left wrist and palm lately, I think it started from practising downward dog wrong and not applying even pressure on my palms and fingers. What can I do to help the pain aside from correcting my alignment? Would be so grateful for any advice!!

    1. You can use your fists instead for table top. I that helps take off the pressure in your wrists.
You can use your forearms for downward dog ( it will become s dolphin pose and requires some open shoulders)
      Do treat yourself kindly!

  16. Hi - loving this! Not sure whether it's possible but any chance of the email being sent out a little earlier please? I got up in the UK to do my practice at 6.15am and the email hadn't yet landed! Thank you - Liz x

    1. You should receive them from the beginning onwards I think? I did -am still doing, actually- 30 days of yoga, almost two years after the videos were published, and I got all the mails.
Cheers and have a lovely journey with your practice! We're doing it together!

  17. Thank you for Day 3. Although very hard to quiet the mind some days, I appreciate the reminder so I can at least try. Love the practice.

  18. Hi, just finished day 3! Tomorrow I am back at work so I hope that I find the motivation to keep doing the challenge. I know it can bring so much good to the body and mind. Thank you Adrienne for this great programme. The explanations are perfect and clear (even for non-native) and so is the timing, not too short, not too long.

  19. I loved the practice! Thanks! I can't believe this is my third practice and I am so excited and grateful as i was for the first one.

  20. Hey I am practicing while travelling through Vietnam, thanks so much for the amazing Videos! It helps me a lot to embrace all my experience along the trip, and to survive the horrible Bus rides πŸ™‚ unfortunately I can't download the videos here, it says this Option is not available in your current location. Is it only downloadable in the US?
    Big love,Anne

  21. Thank you for lightening my day today. I am so enjoying exploring yoga and growing in awareness of my needs. Looking forward to Day 4. Namestaa.

  22. Thank you, Adriene, for a wonderful start to the day! Honoring ourselves on and off the mat is so worth striving for!!

  23. Thanks Adriene. Love the way the practice builds up from day to day and your reminder that we are not "doing" yoga but having and honouring the experience

  24. Great way to start back to work after our Christmas break. So many thoughts running through my head so it was hard to quiet the mind, but I honored that it was busy and was able to find relaxation in my shoulders and back through my breath. My goal is to carry that throughout my day.

  25. I did this first thing in the morning before work, "setting myself up for greatness." Love this one. The Warrior II arms felt so good !!!

  26. "Honoring where I'm at" becomes a bit difficult when where I'm at seems to be ... nowhere.

I made it through the first half okay-ish - The downward dog to runners lunge transition was completely impossible to me, I had to turn it into a three step process - pulling the leg upwards to put it down at halfway as Adriene managed, then walking my hands back to have some actual stability, then getting the leg forward to something vaguely resembling a lunge, and I smuggled in a few additional more relaxing poses to not die on the yoga mat - child's pose, cat-cow, a few more tabletop positions, whatever felt good at the time - but after it all broke down.

Wide-legged forward fold? hahahaha, I can't simultaneously get my legs straight and put my hands on the floor.

I took a break, and even after that I had to shorten some and outright skip other poses to make it through the rest.

On to looking up the poses on foundations of yoga to see how to survive them when they show up again.

    1. Yeah I struggle with that transition too! She makes it look so easy. πŸ™‚ I got this far then decided I'll have to come back later today and try again. Foggy morning brain and thinking about the day ahead got in my way.

    2. Thank you for being so open and honest about your struggle! I am a 58-year-old woman who has been doing Yoga with Adrienne for over a year and I have found it to be a rewarding, if slow and difficult, process. I know I may never do a crow and I also have to pull my leg up to get into a low lunge but I find what feels good and keep going! I hope you do too! #strongertogether

    3. We have all been there so no worries πŸ™‚ the foundations will definately help you and each day you'll progress, i am sure! Keep it up!!

    4. It sounds as though you are doing EXACTLY what you need to. While there are lots of ways that Adriene suggests adaptations, for beginners and people who have been away from the mat for too long (like me), lots of the poses are too challenging at the beginning of this journey.

Substituting and going back to the basics is exactly the find what feels good mentality. So proud of you for not giving up!!

    5. Transitioning to runners lunge used to be impossible for me too. I watched the foundations video for tips. Then one day I just did it. Like I really focused and lifted my thigh and hip higher and got my foot up there. That's the beauty of yoga - that journey with your mind and body figuring this stuff out! You'll get there! Xx

    6. Have you thought about attending classes at a yoga studio? I love Adrienne's videos and it's great that you're trying them, but attending a beginner's class with an actual teacher in the room will help you immensely. Having a teacher nearby will help with your alignment and he/she can answer any of your questions. Definitely continue with Adrienne's videos, but seriously consider a class.

      1. I've not only considered it, I've done in-depth research on every option in the area, but I simply can't afford it at this point - It took me three months until I could even budget for a sports bra.

It's one of the reasons I'm so grateful online instructors like Adriene or Tim Senesi exist.

        1. I practiced for a long time at home before I ever went to a studio, too. However, knowing your body and learning modifications is VITAL for practicing at home. (This is one thing Adriene doesn't offer, since she is practicing alone.) Blocks are a very inexpensive investment, and they can help immensely--or even a dining room chair can work. For example, in wide legged forward fold, you don't have to reach to the floor; a prop brings the floor to you! And the legs don't have to remain straight--that may be the destination, by you're not necessarily going to get there on your first outing.

          1. This is such good advice Beth. I teach an alternate fitness class for peope who want a gentler practice and we use chairs alot! Modifying to make the asanas feel good for you is always the right way to go.

          2. I even HAVE blocks why didn't I think of that?

And I simply wasn't sure about the legs - When it comes to modifying things I am always uncertain whether I am doing what is actually right (as in, a slightly easier version of the pose to make it work for me) or just what is easy (a pose that does not challenge me or that even teaches me bad posture)
Though Adrienes Foundations of Yoga Videos help immensely there, she simply can't cover everything.

Thank you for this practical advice!

        2. Have you had a look at yoga journal? they have some great beginners series yoga videos for free which really go through everything. They helped me finally manage to touch my toes!

        3. I would say go back and do 30 Days of Yoga Camp or 30 Day Yoga Challenge by Adriene. She brings in more alternatives to the poses and suggest "props" that won't cost you a penny!

Great job not giving up!!! One day you will get into that runners lunge in one motion and think, "Hey! Wait a minute!"

    7. You are never nowhere! You may be at the beginning of your yoga journey but the fact that you are doing this, and substituting what you can't do today with great poses is awesome! Try doing Adriane's yoga for beginners if you are not already! Honor your knowledge in yoga, which is clear by the fact that you listen to your body and know what poses suit you today, and honor what your body is capable of because I promise you it's not nothing.

    8. Have you tried Adriene's 30 days of yoga? That course starts out really gentle and eases you into yoga, you hardly notice. At the end of 30 days you have become surprisingly capable. Her foundation videos are excellent too. On days when I feel bad I do Adriene's bedtime yoga - highly recommended. Good luck.

    9. Hiya

The beginners videos are really useful. I did a few last week and they help break down the poses and what you're aiming for.

I've done yoga on and off the last few years but I'm terrible at sticking at things. Coming back to yoga after a break and being really unfit (thanks to my job spending my days at a computer) made some of the poses really really hard but all you can do is do your best. I've noticed real improvement over the last few months. You will too.

Be kind to yourself. What you're doing is amazing. I keep reminding myself that nothing worth doing is easy and that we all have to start somewhere.

      Loads of luck
      Nicky

    10. Be encouraged, you have the courage to try and each time you will start to see improvement. I let myself go so now I have trouble folding over my belly, but that is today but not the future - love where you are and honour it - I needed that in #3 because I was beating me self up. One day we both will be able to take one step up the mat and celebrate.

    11. I do the tlunge by kneeling on one knee then bring the other leg through to the lunge position. I've always done this as body no flexible enough. That's what I like about yoga you can always modify a pose for your ability.

    12. Adrienne has so many beginner videos that I found immensely helpful, unrushed, and great modifications to help ease the transitions. I started with those last year and they helped prepare me for these. I would not have been able to jump right into this series without those beginner ones. Also I thought her other 30 days of yoga were a gentler way to start. Maybe you can try some of those before jumping into these. But just take it slow and do what you can, is something she always stressed.

    13. I'm finishing up 30 days of yoga and I still can't nail the downward dog to runners lunge transition gracefully. That's why I'm soooo glad I'm at home doing it. I can only imagine what I must look like haaa!! But as for the other things, just keep trying and do what feels good. You know your body better than anyone and it will tell you when it doesn't like something. I have a bone disease (brittle bones), so I am always a little nervous but every day I am able to push a little further and do more of the poses. I am surprising myself every day. Just keep at it and you will find what works for you. Kudos for even taking the time and putting in effort!!

    14. Modify as needed!
Rest when your breath outpaces your movement.
Take as many steps as you need to get to the lunge.
Use yoga blocks to "bring the floor up to you"
      Love where you are.
I've been practicing for 20 years and this is not an "easy" practice, so be patient, show up on the mat each day, and modify the postures as needed.

  27. Felt so affirming to my body! Certainly let me know where my body is suffering after the holidays !

  28. So glad that I have shown up 3 days in a row! I had trouble trouble loading day 2 from the email, but found it on YouTube. Thanks! I am so happy to be doing this.

  29. I love your videos! I was turned off from yoga about a year ago when I took what was an extremely intense yoga class as my first class, ever. I was flexible and was able to do a lot so I pushed myself and the instructor encouraged. Well, I couldn't move for a week I was sore so afterwards. What you provide in your videos is a perfect way to transition into loving the practice as part of a lifestyle. So, thank you. My 12 and 14 year olds are joining me on this journey!

  30. aaaaahhhhh so good. The beach ball holding thing gave me the most energised sensation through my arms. I really loved today's practice. Thanks Adriene x

  31. Adriene, I LOVE your practice and am coming up to a year of your daily guidance of yoga. Could you please explain how the download donation works? If I identify an amount, is that a one time event and I receive all the following Revolution days' practices, or do I pay for each download?

  32. I got up and went with the friendly welcoming wave of Day 1 & 2 - but woke up this morning with a heavy cold and a slight dash of fever. Decided not to day 3-class, when I found "Yoga for when you are sick" in the Adriene Archive. Wonderful, perfect for me on this day. However, now I am a bit confused of how to do when I feel better. Is it better to catch up from day 3 and onwards, or just jump in to that particular day?
    How would you advice me?

  33. I am grateful to have found you on YouTube Adriene and thank you for sharin these series. Today I found it more difficult to follow you, because of my low flexibility πŸ™ but I will be here tomorrow again to keep on working on it πŸ™‚

  34. Being a person with serious knee issues, I was hoping for a practice that had less knees today since days 1 and 2 had knee-poses. I've scanned this video (I do them at night as it relaxes me) and I had to watch it twice because for a second I thought I was watching day 2 over again - they look very, very similar. I only did the original 30 day challenge last year, and from what I'm remembering, I'm feeling like that one was more varied in the first 3 days than this one is, and I'm a little discouraged. I will press on regardless though because your videos have gotten me from not being able to kneel in over a decade to being able to do so in only 30 days, with minimal pain. Looking forward to seeing what the next few days hold and praying for less on-your-knees poses lol. Thank you for all you do, and Happy New Year πŸ™‚

  35. Hey there. Just wondering what your take on this and oh I don't know the next week of practices if one is on their moon days? I'm always so unsure. Thanks!

  36. This practice was exactly what I needed! In terms of getting back in touch and honoring my body even when it's stiff and tired and not moving as loosely as it could, this was a wonderful practice. ❀️ to you, Adriene!

  37. Great practice! Loved it. Ended up with a big grin on my face in savasana Namaste from Belgium !

  38. This morning was a toughie, as back to work meant no more sleeping in and instead an early rise. But I honour my body by showing up on the mat (albeit, a bit grumbly). But I did it, and I remember from last year that by committing to my practice, I will gain immeasurable results! In fact by rag doll my frown had turned into a bit of a grin. You asked what was showing up for us, and I was pleased to find that it was playfulness!

Thank you, Adriene, for all you do. Namaste!

  39. Thank you Adriene for all you do! You are such an inspiration and add so much fun to your practice. Love all of your videos. I am dealing with some osteoporosis in my lower spine and cannot do the forward folds and rounding of the back. Do you have any suggestions for modifying these positions? Thank you again.

  40. Thank you Adriene! I did this in my PJs this morning before breakfast/caffeine. It felt so crabby at first but glad I did it. Am commiting to this very same schedule every morning just this month to see if it's worth doing before coffee.

  41. 7 months in and things get easier, the language becomes second nature and I love these daily videos.

  42. This is my first time doing your challenge. Thank you for offering it to us.

I wake up each day with great lower back pain so to start off doing your yoga practice it's painful. I do what I can and by the end my back feels a bit better.

I am so happy to be here with you and the others.

  43. Adrienne,
Thank you for all of your videos. It's been exactly one year since I discovered your videos, and I have enjoyed all of them! I look forward to each new one every Wednesday, and I am thrilled that you've given us another 30 day set.
Your style is great for me: strength with compassion and ease. So different from many gym classes that turn yoga into another aggressive exercise.
    Namaste πŸ™‚

    1. Hey Tina,

Just wanted to let you know how much I agree with you about Adriene's style. I've taken many yoga classes in the past years and never met a teacher that provide such great balance between building strength, compassion and self-care. I was happy to see that I'm not the only one who feels this way about Adriene πŸ™‚

      Keep rocking girl! Namaste!

  44. I am very thankful, for what you do Adriene. I went to many different classes and you explain it the best. You make me and i am sure others, want to keep going. I dont feel pressure in your virtual class. I love how its just a positive experience.

    Thanks a million

  45. This is such a great way to start the year. It makes me feel better in all aspects of my life. Thanks for making yoga accessible and unintimidating!

  46. I am on vacation in Turks and Caicos. I have been practicing Revolution in my hotel room as a great way to begin my day and the new year. I love it! I'm especially pleased with how each day of the practice seems to be building from the previous day. Thank you Adriene!

  47. Struggled with this one today, in keeping up with movements and getting to the next movement. Hey ho. Keep trying.....

  48. Hi, you lost me at day 2. I can not plank, I can not put weight on my knees, I can not reach my toes. Do you have beginner videos? Blessings.

  49. Thanks! I was not feeling too great about myself today, so thank you for this great practice, Adriene. I am honored.

  50. In only 3 days I feel ten years younger! I turned 40 two weeks ago. Thanks Adriene!

  51. I started doing Yoga with you last year and enjoyed it. I had a planned surgery in late September 2016 and a surprise one (emergency surgery) in mid November 2016 and it was a bit more serious (Thoracic and Decortication surgery). After each surgery I continued doing Yoga with Adriene as soon as I was able. You and Yoga have been a big part of my recovery from both surgeries. I am looking forward to this Revolution process!! So far, sooooo good! Thank you from my heart.

  52. I'm wondering how many other "seniors" are out there. I'm 67 and started with Adriene last year. I am much stronger, flexible, and have better balance. Some things I had to work into but got there. Thank you, Adriene for always giving alternatives to beginners!

  53. Just finished day 3!

I started following your practice a year ago when as a teacher, it was difficult to just walk down the hallway to the copy room. My whole body was super tight, especially my hips. I resolved to find a yoga class that day. I found you on line in the middle of the 30-day challenge. I started at the beginning and loved it. Thanks!!

  54. Day 1 of Revolution happened to coincidence of Day 40 of my 40 Days on the Mat challenge. I am older and overweight and so very, very proud of myself for committing and sticking to this. Your Revolution couldn't have come at a better time. I am ready for it. Thanks for the challenge of today. I tend towards taking it easy, so your gentle encouragement is exactly what I need.

  55. I'm committed to these 31 days. This is my daily medicine. Honoring the space that I'm in is a daily journey. Namaste.

  56. When I am in plank, my back hurts a bit (maybe I am not doing the right movements).
    Any advices?

  57. Hi Adrienne,
Not sure how I missed this from the beginnig. But the most important thing is that we start, right? That being said my mantra since the end of Dec 2016 wasn't creating new year resolutions, but a revolution, only to find that that's your theme for these videos! I love your work and I share your YouTube channel all the time. Thank you for helping me find what feels good so that I can embrace my health & wellness journey. <3.

  58. I received some bad news yesterday that rocked me solidly. Day 2 of this journey helped me find myself, and choose a healthy perspective. I'm looking so forward to day 3 before bed tonight. Helps me keep calm and sleep well. And physically it feels fantastic, despite a shoulder injury. Thank you Adriene.

  59. I have been growing with your yoga videos for almost 3 years now. I say growing because I am in every sense. Love you and love your videos! Have introduced to many friend too. Keep doing what you do!

  60. It's 9 pm just gone and have just completed this after getting all angst with my husband. Thank you. I feel relaxed and a much better wife now. My husband will undoubtedly be grateful too. X

  61. Thank you Adriene for another amazing series. I have rheumatoid arthritis so I have to modify a bit but doing your yoga videos for the past two years has made such a difference in how I feel. I love revolution so far!

  62. A big Merci all the way from Montreal. Today was my first day back at work after 10 days off for the holidays and I knew the only time I had available for my yoga pratice today was this morning as I have a appointment tonight. Yikes, less sleep right out of the gate (and I really, really love to sleep!!)

Well, I did it!! I woke up, kicked my little ass out of bed and honored myself, my practice, and the fact that i'm doing this 31 days challenge for me and only me!

  63. Thank you, this is exactly what I need to reconnect with myself at this time. I am a mum to two under fives and I find it hard to grab time for myself. I have been doing your yoga before bed and it helps to quiet my mind and switch off so I can sleep as soon as my head hits the pillow....important when I'll be up once or twice throughout the night!
I'm looking forward to doing the 31 days #yogarevolution consequetively, that's my first challenge this year. I am also enjoying how it is making my body feel, I am only on day three but it feels good to stretch and feel the energy moving. Thanks again X

  64. Adriene! You, my dear friend, are such a kind and beautiful soul. It's amazing to me how someone with whom I've had zero personal contact with has been such a light in my life for the past 2+ years. While I still struggle with consistency, I truly started my journey the first day I watch Yoga For Beginners. With that one video, an entire universe of knowledge, love, and spirit opened up and became available to me and I began a transformation that very day. I now am in better control of my actions, anxiety, depression, and faith. I honor every soul I encounter. I see the world differently. My family sees the change, my friends (that remain, because negative energy no longer has a place in my life) see the change, but most importantly, I SEE IT! That alone gives me the strength and motivation to keep going. Thank you, wholly and lovingly, from the my bottom of my growing heart. Namaste.

And for anyone that may be feeling like throwing in the towel- PLEASE, I beg of you, do not. I knew squat about yoga and DESPISED of "working out" when I first started. Take your own time, try another video. Just keep practicing. Your mind, body, and spirit will thank you.

  65. Fabulous practise. One of my 2017 goals is to commit to a regular yoga practise. I'm starting with doing these 31 days without skipping ANY days. Kitchener, Ontario, Canada πŸ™‚

  66. Loved this practice thank you Adrienne! I've been doing your classes for about 2 years on and off. Im going to try and be disciplined as I love it every time, love waking up to a new revolution email πŸ™‚ Do you recommend morning or evening practice? Have a great day! Sheena in Ireland

  67. Already feeling more in touch with my body, which is exciting and frightening. I feel weighed down in my ankles and extremely tight in my back but, I've committed to this so when moves were just not possible i went into child's pose or forward bends so i could get back in touch with my breath while still doing something. I didn't give up, big win for me today!

  68. I love the lessons in anatomy of this video. It really shows you how you body is connected! Thank you!

  69. I practiced this after getting home from work, and it was exactly what I needed after sitting at a computer most of the day. I feel taller now!

  70. I started yoga off with your 30 Days of Yoga and am so happy to be participating in Revolution! Since starting my practice, I have the tools for a great home practice that I can keep up regardless of my budget.

This was a great way to get the fire started a bit more after easing in. I loved the twists with the arms out open to the sides, I've never done that before and it really allowed me to take up space and feel the twist openly in my body. Thank you for another great day!

  71. Great practice but I hurt my back so bad πŸ™ I don't know what I did wrong. I hope I feel better for tomorrow's practice.

  72. Day 3! I already beat my streak from last year's attempt. Thank you for doing this every year and not giving up on us!

  73. Hi Adriene! I'm new to your videos and just want to thank you so much for creating this series and offering it up for free. Yoga has worked wonders for me, but lately I've lost my groove. Your videos are accessible and I really appreciate your lighthearted approach. After 3 days, I'm feeling happier about getting on my mat... so THANK YOU! πŸ™‚ Looking forward to what's next.

  74. Hi Adrienne,

Just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate your videos. I have been following you for several years. I love the videos and can always find something that addresses my needs at that time. So far I've completed days 1, w and 3 0f the Revolution and am hoping to do them all. I've been following you on FB and sharing your page with friends.

    Thank you!

  75. I did the 30 Days of Yoga last year and was SO VERY excited when I saw the invitation for REVOLUTION. YOU are the BEST--love your energy, your spunk, and really enjoy doing Yoga with you Adriene. Can't wait to see how this journey unfolds. Peace, love and light my sweet friend. God bless!

    Namaste.

  76. I love that I intentionally set up a specific area dedicated to getting back into yoga as a priority, went to "Yoga With Adriene" and found out we're doing this! I did Days 1 & 2 today together. Days 3 & 4 tomorrow. Then, I'll be caught up.
It is thrilling to me that I'll be doing this with so many other! Adriene, I need this so much and I thank you sincerely for doing this.

  77. Thank You Again Adriene, I am loving this, not better than last year but as valuable and life changing.

  78. I just want to say thank you! Your words, inspiring mind and body movements have been what I've been looking forward to for the last few days. Thank you for being!

  79. I really needed this one today. Thank you for the reminder to honor yourself and where you are.

  80. Hi Adrian! I'm very new to yoga and your channel. I decided that your 31 day Revolution challenge was a great way to begin. I am loving is so far. Only one thing is I don't seem to be receiving the daily emails. I don't know if there is something I did wrong. Again thank you for your videos!

  81. Adrienne- love the videos!!! Do you have modification recommendations for sprained wrists? I'm recovering from a car accident, but I find that after one or two table tops and planks my wrists are killing me. If I go to fists, should my palms be facing each other or my feet? I don't want to lose the ab workout from those poses but I find I'm taking a lot of breaks and skipping some flow that I normally would do.

  82. The time zone difference compels me to do the sessions the next day. I practice in the morning, early, but the emails don't arrive until later in the day, when I'm working. Is it possible to post slightly earlier? My location is CST (Tx) +10h. If not possible, not a problem, I'll just keep following a day behind. Thanks for the great work.

  83. Loved the lizard pose variation- SO FUN! but at day 3 my hips are left very achy, any suggestions on how to relieve it? or is this just from all the new hip openers and will subside with time? thanks! πŸ™‚

  84. Day three and I'm still on board with the revolution! It's amazing how much synchronicity I have noticed between this practice and life off the mat. It's also very encouraging that these sessions seem to be customized for me personally, and although they obviously aren't, to me that means many other people must be in the same boat I am, facing similar challenges and seeking similar answers. The details of our lives may be different, but in our hearts we are living out a universal story of what it means to be human.
Thanks so much for all your hard work, Adriene!

  85. Hi Adriene,

I got a massive stomach cramp at 06:53 where we go from hover to downward dog. The last 2 days I did not. I must say I had two children and have no ab strength what - so - ever. I stopped for 4 minutes then kept going which was fine (to my "normal ability"). Anything different or could I have done something wrong?

    Thank you again.

  86. Dear Adriene,

I found you after reconnecting with a mentor of mine earlier this year who reminded me how important it is to honour yourself, be kind to yourself, and find what feels good. I did the 30 days of Yoga, and the 30 Day Boot Camp over the summer and autumn. Now I'm on to Revolution.

I cannot tell you how grateful I am for the energy and wisdom and precision of language you use. You are shining light into the world in such important ways.

I lost my mentor yesterday. He was a theatre director (so I get all the performing stuff you do too). He is gone, but his spirit remains with me, and every moment I spend on my mat reminds me what he taught me. I took a break today and did your Yoga for a Broken Heart.... thank you so much.... just what I needed even though I cried all the way through it.

I am in the middle of a career change from running a children's performing arts school to freelance writing and storycrafting (eg. scriptwriting/storyboarding.... I work in museum circles too). I am looking for more partners to spread the kind of energy and grace which your sessions embody.

If you ever need any support with the writing/story side of what you do, please get in touch. [email protected]. Heidi

  87. Day 3- and loving it! So damn thankful that this practice, this returning to the mat, is pulling me out of a 3 (nah maybe 4 month) slump of feeling crapola and not taking care/tuning in to my body.
I flippinΒ΄love how this practice feels. It makes me happy to get up outta bed, roll out the mat, light a couple of candles, and just breathe into my body and wake up in the following 30 mins or so.
Thanks a bunch for helping me reconnect right now Adrienne & fellow yogi community- you're pretty awesome!

  88. Dear Adriene, thank you for your inspirational yoga lessons! You are helping me to gain both mental en physical strenght during a long and difficult burn-out period. You inspire me to find what feels good, up an off the mat. I am so grateful to have found you and yoga, and I'm sure to continue this journey even after recovery. Big hug, Wendy

  89. Yay, Adrienne! I have been watching your videos for about a year now and immediately loved your messages, teaching style and warm personality. This Revolution program is awesome! It is really obvious you have put a lot of thought and intention into this. Thank you so much for sharing your gifts with us. It is so much and so joyous to see how you have grown as a teacher over this time, too!
Little story for you: I work for an organic dairy farm milking cows, among other things. There is a lot of opportunity for bending and forward folds and mountain pose. I have made a little cow yoga practice while I am there and besides it being really fun and a bit playful, I can see how much my body appreciates and enjoys it. It reminds me a lot too when you speak of not doing yoga, but experiencing fully the process and the connection to body, breath and life. If you ever make it to southeastern VT, you have a place to visit and some cows to meet πŸ™‚
Thank you so much! Loving the practices!
    best,
    lioux

  90. This was exactly what I needed yesterday, after complaining to my partner the night before that I felt like my body was in the way of my body -- that I couldn't do the poses like I could before, and remembering that earlier strength and flexibility made it hard to accept where I was that day.
So the idea of honoring this particular moment and the reality of who and where I am was perfect.

  91. I am not receiving the emails either... were you able to get them? I love the messages ... so motivational

  92. Lovely Adriene,
Thank you very much for making this practice readily available for all of us together. I have come to love yoga in the past few years but it is not a class I can afford to go to as often as I'd like. This is the perfect thing.
    Thank you again my friend

  93. . I have been practicing yoga now at home alone for 14 months, 12 exclusively using Adriene and I have found it to be incredibly powerful to give me strength for the day ahead and as a way of showing myself love.

It's tough for me to find more than a few minutes for myself in any day and I always look anxiously at the clock when I see how long today's practice is ( and normally I seek out the practices of 20-30 minutes) but when I manage to join in with the longer practices I am always so grateful for the extra time for myself on the matI care for someone 24/7 and this is my only time when I am doing something solely for myself.

i started with the 30 days of yoga last January then yoga camp and now try to practice every day - I almost succeed in this and my daughter only calls for me if it's urgent as she knows how much I long for this time. So try to carve out as much as you can - I'm incredibly efficient at rolling out the mat while YouTube loads and packing up while my shower warms so I am making maximum use of the time. I can run up stairs easier, lift and move with more ease and I am looking after myself as well as someone else. I couldn't get through my days and weeks and years doing this without Adriene now. I am so grateful for the free practices as I couldn't get out to a class and I couldn't spare the time getting to and fro. I was so excited to see this new set of practices coming although I couldn't start until 2 days late but I will keep going! Thank you Adriene

  94. Hi, firstly thank you for your lovely programme which I am enjoying so much.
I have paid for 30 days of yoga and I would like to pay for this also. That way, I can still watch when I travel as I am often offline in hotels. Could someone advise where I will find these videos when watching offline once I have paid. Is it the App? Many thanks

  95. I don't find these beginner at all. I couldn't do most of the moves because I'm a larger woman. I was looking for something to help ease me into better movement but this left me frustrated! Also incredibly bored!!!!

  96. I can't wait to start revolution. I'm a few days late but am on day 27 in "30 days of yoga". I have discovered this love for yoga that I NEVER knew I had. I was always so intimidated by the poses and what not. But I'm doing poses that I didn't think were a possibility for me, and I'm getting more and more flexible each day. I crave it now, it's not a job, it's a need! Thanks Adriene for the inspiration. You are an awesome teacher and an amazing soul. So glad that I found you. I start Revolution in 3 days, can't wait!!! ❀

    1. Also I said above that I was always intimidated by yoga but have learned that it is much more than "working" out. It truly is mind, body and soul! I love that I can do this in the privacy of my own home where I am not self conscious about how I look. I feel this has been an opportunity that I otherwise wouldn't have had before. I hate the gym and I cannot afford classes like this. It is just perfect!!

      Namaste

  97. I've been doing yoga for some time, but I love your classes as a way to reconnect with the yoga principles. I especially appreciate the way you guide towards great technique and the theory of yoga as well as the moves themselves. NamastΓ©!

  98. Hi Adrienne, I don't seem to be getting the daily email for some reason. Checked the spam box but no where in sight. All I have received is the initial email welcoming me to The yoga Revolution, twice as i signed up again just in case

That aside really enjoying the programme. My wife was going to come along for the journey too as an absolute beginner but we both felt it was a little too advanced.

Thanks for the bloody grand job you do, your videos and interaction with the FWFG community really are helping me along in a journey of healing and discovery in mind and body. Namaste

  99. Hi, and thank you so much for all the wonderful videos and yogi-guidance you have given me so far! I've been following along on the yoga revolution journey with my sisters and practicing with the videos every day as they come out, but I only just realised that I haven't been receiving the emails that I signed up for. I've since signed up again, but I wonder is there a way to get the emails that have been sent so far so that I am up to date and so that my daily emails will match the videos/practices as per the revolution calendar? Once again THANK YOU!!! You are wonderful and you make us all feel wonderful along with you! πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

    1. I am in the same boat--started on day 1, but realized about a week later that I was not getting the emails and re-registered. I would also like to be in sync. Frustrating that (likely unmonitored) blog comments appears to be the only way to reach out for technical help.

  100. Im a little behind due to being sick. I laughed so hard when you said "dont look down to put your feet together" after I had done just that! It's like you were watching me lol!

  101. Good evening from Mont-Saint-Hilaire Adrienne...just completed Day 3 after my coming back from work.
Thought as I was driving (a bit more than an hour) that I was not going to have the will to perform as schedule. But I did and wow a lot of energy. Now I will have dinner and care for my dogs. Thanks for your work. Steeve

  102. Hi Adriene,

I am from Australia and I do have one question that I could like to ask....?
Sorry to ask but do you watch what you eat during the Revolution? I am still confused as what to eat as there are ao many competitive diets/says/facts on what and what not to eat. I dont know if I am doing it right and it will work? Eg. Sugar free, Paleo, Gluten Free, Low Gi, Vegan, or just eat everything but in moderate but to eat more fruit and veggies or what?? Please clarify this for me. Thank you.

  103. Adriene, I have "come to the mat" every day this year...except Jan 1 πŸ™‚

My goal is to create a diligent habit of yoga EVERY day of 2017, and the #yogarevolution is the perfect way to start.

I signed up for the email, but signed up a few days after I started, so I'm on Day 8 but get Day 3 emails. Can you set my email to send Day 9 on Tuesday 1/10?

    Thanks for all you do!

  104. Dear Adrienne,

I hope this finds you well.

I love your videos and signed up to your 31-day challenge. I have a lifestyle blog in Switzerland (http://currentlywearing.com) and wanted to offer to feature on of your video once a week for my readers. It would be all linked and credited to you clearly.

Would you be interested? I would use it for my regular article on healthy living on every Sunday. I am sure my readers would love it.

I look forward to hearing from you,

    Thank you and best regards,
    Miriam

  105. I`m loving this!

I am on day 9 today, but only subscribed to the e-mails last night :)) Any chance I can get all the previous ones at once to catch up and be up to date? :))

  106. This is a great program you have. Sometimes I forget who I am at work or in life, and then remember when i get back on my mat and breath my own breath. Thank you for reminding me of my own foundation.

  107. Your introductory words were food for my soul - I shed a few tears. Thank you for reminding me to accept where I am today. Namaste, friend.

  108. Hi Adriene!

I started doing yoga with your videos because my little sister told me they made her life wonderfully happy. I have anxiety and honestly, I eat better, sleep better, and love myself and my sister better thanks to yoga. So really, thank you for sharing that with us. πŸ™‚

I just signed up for the Revolution emails today, so I haven't gotten the first half of them. Is there any way I can get the emails that go with the first two weeks?

  109. Well, I signed up and donated money for the download but I cant figure out how to download it... only option seems to be dropbox which I cant use... I dont want an app and didnt know I cant just download to my computer before I paid... also no response to my request for help with this issue...
your videos look good, I was looking forward to the 31 days of yoga but looks like I wont be doing it since I cant figure out the tech side of it... guess I will unsubscribe and chalk my donation up to a loss.

  110. Hello. I am Chiara and I am 10 years old. I just took the first of your 31 day yoga program and it made me feel very relaxed. I can't wait for the next one!

    Feeling gratitude!

  111. Hello, friends!
I wonder Which is the best time to practice. I will appreciate your comments πŸ™‚

    Best,

    Mela

    1. Hi. I've been doing it before bed time. Truly, I've been sleeping great since then! I would like to do in the mornings as well but I don't have enough time. Also want to hear what others say!

  112. I just finished day 3! it's amazing! I've never done yoga before and it's been a while since I've done any exercise. I've been sleeping good since I started doing this. I;m so glad my friend recommended me this journey.

  113. HI Adriene,

I have a neck injury and my physiotherapist suggested yoga. I found your 30 day challenge on youtube and just completed day 1. I must say i feel so much looser already and my aim is to strengthen my whole body so my neck can start relaxing. It is great that I can do it when it suits me (so in between fetching kids and work) I am committed to the 30 days and cant wait to get stronger. Lotsa love, all the way for South Africa

  114. I downloaded it as I was impressed by Adriene's manner and relaxed and encouraging approach. However, when I settled down to do Day One I couldn't watch it all because I couldn't spare the time - I'd love to spend an hour doing yoga every day for 31 days but I work full-time and have a number of other commitments which do not allow concentration on a video while I do yoga for that length of time - I'd be exhausted! I still think you seem a lovely human-being Adriene and am delighted to see how many people have found the programme beneficial. They have more energy than I do if they, too, work a full day five days a week!

  115. Hello from Germany!

I'm a little late (startet Jan 24th) but already enjoying Revolution so much! This evening I really had no motivation to hop on the mat as it was a horrible day for me, but I made it and the sequence helped me to relief all those nasty bad feelings that bothered me all day. I feel light, fresh and much happier and that is thanks to you Adriene!

    Lots of love

    Marie

P.S.: Some years ago when I started with doing Yoga, it was your Youtube channel that made it feel natural for me. Before, there were those quirky moves and poses I never really mastered, but with your videos I got that yummie 'wow my body really needed this' feeling. Thanks so much for that, too!!

  116. Started day 3 right now. IΒ΄ve been following you for a while. What I have to say is a huge thank you for sharing your hard work with us. Namaste.

  117. Hi Adrienne,

I just started today, with the day one video. I enjoyed the Ease, and can't wait to continue on this journey.
I am having a problem downloading the calendar, any assistance would be appreciated.

    Namaste <3

  118. After day 3, I feel soreness in my upper back/shoulders. I also feel more strenght on my legs. I find amazing I've had these changes in only 3 days!!!

  119. Hi Adriene! I've just finished the 30 days of yoga with you and I'm now on this amazing revolution journey. My mind and body feel amazing! I never thought I would have accomplished so much with stretches and using my own body weight. Thank you for directing me in the right direction. I'm a better mother and wife for it...and my body's banging again lol

  120. Hi Adriene! Day 3 (Honor) COMPLETED!! Thank you for making me honor where I am today and that it's okay. I feel it all in my core, lol, but it's worth it

  121. Helo,
I started the Yoga Revolution last week for the month of March and I got the Day 5 email and ended up skipping a day and I thought Day 6 email would be next but nothing in my inbox today. Is there a way to reset that?? I really enjoy getting the emails.

Let me know thanks and please continue doing what you do, you are awesome!
    Thanks.
    Cherylyn

  122. I missed day 3 and 4, today is day 5. IS it real to try to do 3,4,5 together? or should i jump to day 5? I little busboy road i know but i want to recover!

    1. Ok I just finished day 5. I skipped 3,4 but i thought it would be better to stay on track, otherwise i would loose it because of lack of time. Thanks, will see you tomorrow!

  123. I just signed up for Revolution and am excited to start this experiential journey with you Adrienne. I would like to request a tip for a good yoga mat to purchase - one that won't break the bank and isn't heavy to carry around but is a solid mat. Thanks. Namaste!

  124. I began 31 days of yoga and I am now on day 6. I am sitting on my mat all the way over in the UK. I love your yoga!
I signed up to your emails and realise I have only just done this today (prompted by your day 6 you tube video) and have therefore missed the previous 5 emails and I guess I will be out of Sequence with any of the emails... is it possible to see the emails info for 1-6 and begin my emails on day 7? I will do day 7 tomorrow.
Anyway, thank you so much and I feel so much.m better in myself after doing just 6 days so far!
    H

  125. Namaste,
I am new to Yoga practice having only just come across your Yoga training in the last couple of days. I find you particularly inspiring. I find the sessions quite tough, but your soothing gentle words and grace while showing us what to do certainly motivates me.
    Luv and peace xx

  126. Hi Adriene, I just started your Revolution series and Oh My Gosh... I feel great!!! I haven't moved like that in years. You are a perfect instructor. Slow enough for us older ones just starting and I love your personality. You're a beautiful person. Thank you. I'll see you tomorrow morning. πŸ™‚

  127. Just starting this revolutionary journey. I've been practicing a home practice with your videos since December when I did the 30 days of yoga. I absolutely have loved, been encouraged, and felt healing and strengthening in my body from these videos. Doing these yoga practices with you, Adrien, I feel very connected and encouraged by you. I so appreciate the humor, the joy and caring you bring to each session. I am thankful for your work. With love, Lena

  128. Hi Adriane,
Loving the sessions. Have a problem with the step throughs - my shins are longer than my arms, so I have to totally rearrange my body to get into a lunge. Hope that isn't ruining everything alignment wise. I can't even put my palms down when my knee is up! I think I need some blocks. Any ideas in the meantime?

    Diane

  129. I signed up for the 31 day revolution but have only received day 1 email. Should I be receiving an email daily? or is that over and I need to look for the videos online myself?

  130. Hello Adrienne,

I am on day 3 and feeling amazing!!! Thank you for this challenge and I am already feeling better. I am a recovering addict and this is helping me so much through out my journey. I will stay focused and listen to my body as it heals from all the damage I did to it in the past year. I can't wait to see the results of mind body and soul.
    Namaste

  131. This is a fantastic idea! Since I started my yoga practice I was yearning for a flow from one day to another and maybe concocting a little journey to give me a bit of structure or even sense, instead of little fragments of practice here n there.

And the lesson of honoring is so welcome as well. It helped me become aware that I hadn't stepped into honoring and that I was spending my time and energy in observing and assessing but not quite becoming cool with my findings and allowing my observations to restructure my present self and integrate what's going on.

    Thank you so much, Adriene

  132. I signed up for what I thought was an upcoming 31-Day Yoga Revolution, but it appears everything is from January 2017. Will this program be running in January 2018? Hoping so!

  133. Hi Adriene, really enjoying your 31day yoga practice! I never manage to do these kind of things every day, but with your channel I can and I am allready at day 6!!
Unfortunately I subscribed for the emails 3 days after I started, so my emails are now 3 days bihind... is there any way to change this?
Thanx so much, and all the best,

    Amber

  134. Sending lots of love to Adriene and the FWFG community. Really loving Revolution so far. Thanks Julie xxx
