Hello my sweet friends!
Gosh I hope this finds you doing great. And if not, as always, that is okay.
I feel you.
Up and down, the rolling hills and deep valleys.
Upside down.
Inside and out.
Round and Round.
My, how it is always moving and changing.
Stops. Drops to knees. Gives thanks.
Thank goodness for the philosophy and the tools of yoga!
I personally can’t imagine a life without such tools of action and mindfulness to help bring us back to what feels good. As we approach our 4th YWA birthday (!!!) I am just so so so very grateful that we are exploring this practice - together.
As we gear up for a new season of yoga videos on YouTube I cannot help but reflect on my personal journey through practice and smile.
It really is about honoring who you truly are.
It’s about being tender and soft with yourself when you need it.
It’s about having the courage to be bold when you need to, vulnerable when you need to and to make some serious changes when you need to.
Taking a look back at our first video ever I can see how radically things can change in a relatively short period of time.
Note: I find both inspiration and comfort in that.
I also went through a process of first cringing at myself - my bangs, my body, the way I collapse my shoulders in chaturanga, the way I down dog, the shine, my voice, my old dog Blue, the the insecurity, the….
And then I realize.
It’s beautiful.
It’s me.
It was me - then.
And way to show UP Adriene.
Sits up tall and relaxes shoulders. A yogis version of patting yourself on the back.
And thank you Chris for inviting me to be me!
I practice yoga so that I can stay in communication with me.
Now if it seems like I am talking all about me me me, it’s because I am.
Just kidding!!!
If it seems like I am talking about me - it’s because I am reminded how we are all such a dear reflection for one another.
That is what makes any community - but especially the global community here - so special.
It’s better than a fan base.
It’s a machine.
Just kidding.
It’s a kula.
A community of folks showing up for themselves and using the practice of yoga to be themselves - truly and fully - each day.
And the most beautiful part is that when we are committed to focusing on our own journey we are also inspiring and supporting others to do the same.
It’s why I love to say that we are all in this together.
Because we are.
Often what you don’t like about someone else is what you have trouble with when inquiring within yourself.
Often what you admire in others is that which you seek to admire in yourself.
Often what you avoid in others is what you are avoiding with yourself!
Yoga invites you to keep up with your mind, your body.
It invites you to STAY ON that communication and inquiry that helps you connect with yourself.
So that you can drop the struggle and BE YOURSELF.
If you are in a situation that is keeping you from being yourself - let’s talk about how we can support you to fix that.
Dive right back into practice.
Dive into the community boards.
Someone has your back and will serve as a reflection.
Trust me.
Get involved with the Find What Feels Good community!
We are all here to learn how to support one another.
And, can I just say… we may be looking inward but we are taking OFF!
People are so kind and sweet to thank me for all the love and light that I share, but really THANK YOU.
Thank you for being such incredible love and light, humor and inspiration.
We are indeed a reflection of each other.
The good, the bad, the beautiful and the oogly.
Let’s keep going.

Hello Adriene,
I've been diagnosed with a frozen left shoulder. One of the things that helps me is doing yoga with you every day. I can't stretch out as much as I'd like and some poses are difficult but I always feel better after a session.
I have been diagnosed as well with frozen shoulder. Do you have any particular videos you find helpful from Adriene?
I have thoroughly enjoy waking up every morning with you. Thank you so much for what you do. You make me feel like we are best friends whenever I do my yoga. Congratulations on 4 years!
Oh Adriene, I love the first video. You are still just so yourself. So refreshing. Namaste.❤️
Happy anniversary, Yoga With Adriene team! I'm so glad I discovered you three years ago. Keep 'em comin'! I love what you do!
Your absence was a good way for me to do all the older videos and I loved it! What I most like about you is the way you care for ladybugs or other insects that hop on your mat! And if you accidently bomb into the cupboard, you say sorry to it. I do that too and thought I was the only one in this world, haha. Love your lessons, love the way you are and totally love your dog! Keep 'em going!
Happy 4th Birthday YWA! My 46th bday is on Sept. 5th, as well and I have been with y'all since January of this year. Best thing I have added into my life to help with the stress and demands of teaching. THANK you so much for doing all you do to help us be more balanced, happy, strong, and mindful individuals! I ALWAYS feel better and more energized after a video with you. Hugs & Cheers!
Just wondering.. I have been looking in my Inbox for you weekly letter, but cannot find it. Did I miss it somehow? I am starting to think maybe I got unsubscribed..
When is your class in London and how can I take part in it please??
I started yoga with you this summer I use to do yoga once a day now I at least have to do yoga with you 4 days a week it is so helpful mind and body..... happy 4th bday
Adriene,
I cannot adequately convey the sense of balance I've found in my life since finding your YouTube channel, but I will try.
I've been a casual distance runner for 15 years (with little upper body strength, might I add), and have tried different supplemental exercises to balance out the long miles. About a year ago I found your 30 days of yoga series, and it was not only a very approachable routine to fit into my busy days, but it has also given me the patience and positive/grateful outlook to care for my 3 young children. They each have their own personalities and needs that through yoga and mindfulness has allowed me to focus on and address them as individuals.
Honestly, I was not expecting the increase in strength I would gain from 3-5 day a week practices, but the transformation has been amazing. By this past summer, I was in a balanced routine of training for a half marathon while supplementing with a mix of strength building and stress-reducing workouts of yours (essentially, I'd "find was felt good" for me that day).
In August, however, I felt like the world stopped spinning when I diagnosed with breast cancer at age 37. I'm now 3 days post-bilateral mastectomy, and I'm amazed at how beneficial my yoga practice has been in my healing. My surgeon was very impressed by the amount of chest muscle I had available, ensuring that alloderm (foreign material derived from cadaver muscle) wasn't necessary for my reconstruction. In addition, deep breathing has been the most painful part of recovery for me. I'm grateful to have your guided breathing as practice.
It will be weeks still until I can move my freely, but I wanted to express to you what a positive, healing influence you've been for me. Sending you a big grateful hug!
Thank you Adriene for all that you do. Your vidéos andao your writing is extremely inspiring and you have helped me trough some major bumps in my life, bring a smile back, because I "showed up" for me.
When I tell my friends about your website and videos I refer to you as my friend Adriene. Then I have to explain that I don't actually know you. I live in France, and while I would LOVE to attend a live class and actually share the energy, the logistics are complicated... Kids, work, money...
Where are you ???
Thinking of you dear friend.
Wishing you love and wellness.
It is December and I have not erred, your last letter was in September.
Do you have any Rex's for someone with upper diastisis rectii?
Recs not Rex's!
I received a yoga block and a half moon yoga block. What is the difference and how is each used differently. I'm new to the yoga practice. Thank you.
Thank to you I have started with yoga. My Journey has just started (31 days of yoga and now revolution). Its good! Thank you! Peace and love to you all❤
For the technical department at Yoga w Adriene... wish I could add a screenshot to show you how the email comes in for today day 14 ..... I just read it very quickly and move on and wonder why they don't attach a video or something how boring it is to just read this ... thinking I don't have the time to go searching her website or YouTube looking for whatever video might correlate with this email
Well today my thumb accidentally hit the black box in the email that says REVOLUTION: Day 14
And voilà a video ....well I must say I cannot be the only person who has missed that because it is not highlighted there is no 'click here for' there is nothing indicating that that black box is of any importance and no I didn't just start using a computer yesterday I used to write programs in DOS.
I just wanted to say thank you. I am a mom to 4 kids. One with autism. (Bio)One with AMC and has mobility issues. And one with multiple spinal defects. (Youngest 2 adopted). My life is insanely busy. And stressful. I had to say. This is the one thing I look forward to for myself. I could never sleep at night. Now I can. On day 12 I felt my body starting to shift in a positive way. I feel less stressed. And I find myself taking deep breaths through the day when I need them. It helps. You are fun too. I tried a yoga class and she was cranky and way too serious. Your class is perfect. And I find myself laughing with you. Like 2 friends doing yoga together. And it's just for me! Thank you!!!
I would love you to come to New Zealand for a tour? Would this be something you would be interested in doing?
I would love to help organise it. Possibly a Australian and New Zealand tour?

Hello, I thought I left a comment earlier today but I don't see it now. I have been doing yoga with you for 11 months now every day and I have loved it. My body feels so much better! However, I have glaucoma and my pressures have recently been on the rise and I believe it to be due to inversion posses. At least this is what I want it to be as I don't want the medicine to not be working anymore. I want to keep up with you ain staying with our yoga practice and I was hoping that you would be open to putting a few shows together that deal directly with the glaucoma condition, and not using any inversion posses! Thank you for these past months as I have truly enjoyed sharing them with you every day...I would like to continue to do that, but I also need to preserve my eyesight. I hope you have an interest in this and again, thank you for all you do for the yoga community. Sincerely cindy
Hi
I also have been diagnosed with glaucoma and would love an Adriene Yoga For Glaucoma video to follow at home avoiding inverted postures and concentrating on those that would not increase eye pressure. I love yoga with Adriene.
Thank you for the suggestion, Carolyn (and Cindy!). I have added your request to the list of community requests for Adriene.
Hi Sarah! I wanted to add to the request for a Yoga for Glaucoma video as Carolyn described. My mom has been diagnosed with glaucoma and it's been a difficult transition to manage in her yoga practice, since she now needs to avoid inverted postures. It would be such a great resource and relief to have a go-to flow we could do together at home!
Thank you!!
Laura
While we wait for this specific request, we created a playlist of videos that may be helpful for those with Glaucoma or Vertigo. You can find it on the YWA Youtube channel here.
Adriene, thank you for being you! When I watch your videos, it's like doing yoga with one of my besties No judgement, no drama, just pure love!!!! I'm starting to love myself again, and I love you!!! Keep doin you girl!
Hello Adriene,
My name is Daniela and I´m from Stockholm, Sweden. My message is simple. I wanna thank you from the bottom of my heart for your yoga videos. I´ve started with 30 days and now joined you on the revolution and finished yesterday!
My mind was so negative to yoga first but now I can´t imagine my life without it thanks to you and the power of the practice. Starting to show up for myself on the mat was like really started loving myself for real.
So thank you for making yoga so easy, warm and friendly for a stiff body like mine but that is now starting to warm up.
Thank you!
Daniela
Every day your yoga practice helps me...
Thank you
Started with 30 day of yoga
Then yoga revolution, liked 30 day better.
Now I pick and choose...
Love ❤️ love that I found you
Dear Adriene,
I am really grateful for the yoga videos you share with us! They do feel good.
I would like to ask you for a short video on face yoga, if possible.
Thank you!!
Matina
Hi Adriene, I couldn't find a way to contact you besides writing in the comment section. Inspired by you and your yoga videos on YouTube, I realized how much I love it and would really like to start my training as a yoga teacher. But I don't know how to get to know what you know better or what books to read or what to do to be a yoga teacher. It would be perfect if you could point me directions or even recommendations would be great too! Would you write to me? I have tons of questions to ask you!
Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Best,
Anny
Adriene,
6 years ago I started practicing using to your videos! Thanks to you and the YWA community, I have turned yoga into my lifestyle. I am happy and healthier than I have ever been and a give much of the credit of my change in lifestyle to my practice. Which I rock, if I may say so 😉 So thank you for creating an awesome platform for me to grow in!
I have always just been present in my practice with little expectations but to just feel good during and after my practice. That has been great! However, as I progress into my intermediate poses (king pigeon, headstand, crow etc) I find myself wanting to track my progress. I have tried videos on my phone with a tripod and I screenshot myself through out a session. Do you have any other suggestions on how I can track pose progression on my own? Maybe any tips for recording? Many thanks to you and YWA peeps! Namaste loves!
A quick question, I've just downloaded 30 days of yoga. Is the programme intended to be 30 consecutive days, or 30 days over, say, 3 days a week, for example?
Hi Carla, it was created as a 30 days consecutive program. But, if it feels better in your body to do it 3 days a week, then listen to your body and stretching out longer than a month. #fwfg 🙂
Hi Adriene! I love your videos. I love the smiles and laughs you send along the way, not to mention the inner peace and and healing that comes with practicing with you. Four years ago I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease, an auto immune attack on my thyroid. A couple years later I learned that I was also suffering from Adrenal Fatigue. It has been a slow healing path but I am healing and starting to be present in life again. The tips you offer and varying levels of sessions to chose from made yoga always exciting and never overwhelming as I had to take great care not to over exert myself ncc cause a set back. Practicing yoga with you has helped me improve in areas where months of physical therapy couldn't provide relief.
I follow several functional medicine experts on hypothyroidism. I found it interesting today when I read an article title Yoga Poses for Hyperthyroidism, https://hypothyroidmom.com/yoga-poses-asanas-for-hypothyroidism/. As a read this article, some of the poses seem unattainable for me even today. I immediately thought of you and how every video you offer provides alternatives that never make me feel lesser because I couldn't even attempt a pose. I am excited to continue my yoga journey with you and excited to continue my healing journey as well. To help with migraines and sciatica I cycle through those targeted videos weekly. If it sparks your interest, I would love to see a Yoga with Ardriene for Hypothyrodism.
YWA fan,
Leslie
