I am a beginner to yoga, I wanted to know if I should stick with the beginner YouTube videos. When do you know you are ready to move on. I thought I was but, day 3 of the 31 days really was difficult. I wasn’t able to keep up. Any suggestions please.

Dear “Nudge” Queen. You have gently pushed me to my next venture-acting! Three years as a tennis professional, fifteen as an investment manager, 22 years and counting as a mental health counselor. Now I will dip my toe into the pool of community theater-an itch that has been there for decades. Thank you! PS I could not love your approach to yoga any more-it’s even as good as our daughter’s who is a certified yoga instructor Austin is high on my wife and mine’s list. Would love to catch a class of yours.

I’m so glad you are heading back to your acting roots and look forward to witnessing any of your progress in that realm. Funny enough I have been itching to try something that seems a little bit hard to do. I really want to get off social media and let my roots take hold in a more physical realm. I am not ultra connected to these virtual realms, but I am really itching to make a radical change. I want my kids to see it and I want to do it for my yoga practice and to reconnect with my music background and grow that. Seeing your letter has helped me put another mental foot forward on this, but disconnecting has its risks too. I am already isolated in our local community and I have fears that cutting off these connections could diminish the social connections I have, the support groups and the opportunities I can find for my kids. I’m still hashing out the pros and cons, but feeling inspired to work on this decision and give it a form somehow. Namaste.

Hey there Adriene. The last years has been a travel for both myself and my wife. I have a somewhat anchored generalized anxiety diagnosis and for one year now we have both been trying to follow your videos each day. It has been helpful. Anxiety is for many a state of mind that keeps your body over active through the day. You wonder if all is as it should, as your mama taught you to root in. A constant watch over your shoulder. It’s tiresome. But your sweet personality and humor filled teachings has been a good companion along the way. It has not solved the problem, but it helps. If you have any additional tricks up the sleve, I am sure many would be grateful. A lot of people suffer from hypersensitivity in this our increasingly cold world and if more of us were like you, we would maybe change the course a bit. Thank you ever so much from Vestfold, Norway.

I thoroughly enjoyed this, thank you. As an amateur musical theatre performer I know that I don’t always warm up properly before a show – I will try to do this routine more often as a way of warming up.

Thank you again, and all best wishes

I have started doing yoga again after many years away from it. I challenge myself to do a little yoga everyday. I have completed your 30 days of yoga & 30 yoga camp. I am in the process of completing the 31 day revolution practices.

I am making 2017 a healthier year and taking a little time for myself to practice yoga.

    I love your videos.

    Adriene,

I cannot even begin to thank you. I have been living with Multiple Sclerosis for 14 years. I have recently started yoga due to back pain, muscle spams and spasticity. The results I have been feeling using your videos has been amazing. While I cannot do every move I have learned to modify to the best of my ability. I just wanted to let you know how much of a difference you have made in my life and my mobility. Thank you!

    Much love from cold Maine!

    Hi Adriene,
Hope all is well in Texas!!
I am progressing through your videos, first Revolution, then Yoga Camp, and now doing 30 days of Yoga.
I cannot thank you enough for providing a comfortable, accepting and relaxing way to get onto the mat each day. I have experienced so many great changes in just 2 1/2 months! I really look forward to the daily sessions.
I have started exploring art and painting. I used to paint and draw years ago and creating art seems to be something that is so meditative and makes me calm and happy.
So I am jumping into that right now!

Again, thank you for sharing your valuable knowledge with us. I tell everyone about you and your gentle yoga videos!
    All the best,

    Hello Adriene!

The work you are doing is amazing! I love watching your Videos and trying to do yoga as good as I can. I have been following you for many months now and yoga has really got very important in my life. But even more for my lovely mother. I have shown her some of your Videos and she just LOVES it. Her back has got much better and she often greets me with namaste. Almost everytime I see her, she tells me about her practices and how much she likes you.

Now I have a little request… My mother (Carin from Sweden) is getting 50ty on the 20th of march and I would love to suprise her with maybe a short greeting from you in a Video before doing yoga or something like that? SOunds crazy, I know. I do not want to disturb you, if it is not possible that is fine. I just now, that my mother would get sooo truely happy.

    Lots of love

You know what? This was absolutely stunning! I learned so much in this particular series. I very much enjoyed the “tid-bit” about your feet see for you. Let go of the physical senses and let the internal knowing the eternal of all that is…let that speak for you! How? Just breath and move and try this series for yourself. I am viewing this at 6pm in the evening but I will again do this one to start the awakening process of my self in the am tomorrow. Thank You and look forward to hearing more of my own voice with your practices shared here. Thanks again! kathy

This isn’t about this session specifically. I have been using your sessions for 2 or 3 years. I love them!
However, I suffer from random bouts of vertigo. I recently learned a wonderful treatment developed by Dr. Carol Foster that works very well.
My problem is that I will practice yoga for a couple of weeks, and the vertigo hits. I do Dr. Foster’s technique and it usually clears up, with that vertigo hangover sticking around for a day or so.
I am beginning to think that maybe downward dog through chaturanga to cobra or upward facing dog, and other moves that put me upside down and moving to right side up may be aggravating my tendency for vertigo.
I really don’t want to stop practicing. Do you have any suggestions or ideas of what to do during a session instead of the upside down positions? Thank you!

I just wanted to say how much I love your videos. I’ve been loyal to my mat for a month now, I skipped two days and then caught up by doing one video in the AM and one in the PM. If it weren’t for you and your videos, I’m sure I wouldn’t have made it. My goal is to do yoga every day for the rest of my life. It’s made such an unbelievable difference in my life. I am able to do 20 push ups and before I struggled to do one! I feel stronger, healthier and of course more flexible. I haven’t felt my back muscles in so many years.

Congrats on the gig! I know some day I’m going to see you in movies and I’ll be able to say, I knew that girl from her yoga videos 🙂

Time to get on the mat!

    Warmly

    Adriene…

Thank you for everything you do! I have been following your videos for three years now and am so grateful for the variety, compassion, and challenge they present.

I am a small-scale organic farmer in Maine and rely on yoga to slow things down, stretch, and find peace. I am wondering if you would consider a “yoga for farmers” or yoga for people with active jobs. Although we do end up spending plenty of time on the computer during the winter, the growing season is all about being bent over, carrying heavy crates, and repeated hand/shoulder motions.

I though I would throw it in the mix since it seems like there have been specific themes lately.

    Much love!

Congrats Adriane on getting back to acting. You are a great yoga teacher and you are a gift to many for sharing your work.

I have been working for months to get a new documentary film into my community university and I made it happen! I would like to share the film trailer with you and any of your followers as it is science based and so inspiring when we can see the benefits from our diet and lifestyle actions. The film just came out and I have a cardiologist friend in the film and there are many well known doctors too.
    Film trailer: https://www.eatingyoualive.com/media/

If you are inspired and want to get the film into your community, wirte to the contact on the Eating You Alive menu and they are prompt at getting back to you to talk with you about setting up a screening at a library or college or other venue in your area. They have been most helpful.

    Best to everyone this spring.
