  1. Adriene,
I'm just looking in to yoga as a means to assist with the weight I gained after I quit smoking. What do you suggest to be a good place to start? Will just learning the poses in the beginning w/o a "formal" yoga routine be ok? Thanks much

    1. Hi! Good for you! Quitting smoking can, at times, feel like a double-edged sword- but it is not and you made the best choice! So now, yes, lets get you on the mat! The goal is to deepen your breath and get into your body. Scrape of the old layers of paint and come into your best body and self. I recommend starting with the Foundations Of Yoga series. They take a little moment to break down alignment and build the pose with integrity. They also offer modifications and don't take things to seriously hopefully welcoming you to your mat and reminding you that the intention is to get empowered not do it perfect. Go through them all mindfully at your own pace. A pose or two a day even to start! Then you can begin to experiment with sequences and before you know it you will have your yoga routine πŸ™‚ I believe that a good yoga routine is always changing and evolving. If we are really listening then all will be well. Hop on the mat and let me know what I can do to help! Namaste. A

  2. Hi Adriene, i have just found out your videos. For a long time now i have been trying to get into yoga classes but for some reason or the other i have not been able to. So now ive finally decided to start at home on my own. Ive downloaded a couple of your videos. For a very beginner, what routine should i follow? how many sessions per day and how should i go about it? Please advise! πŸ™‚

    Thankyou!

    1. Hi there, great to hear and welcome to the mat! Not only will your body thank you for it but your mind and even your heart strings as well πŸ™‚ I recommend going through the Foundations of Yoga series first. Even one day is great! That in addition to a sequence 1-3 times a week depending on your body and your schedule. I like to practice a little every day and weave in other activities like walking, biking and swimming. Running in the Texas summer heat is too hard core for me πŸ™‚ Hope this helps! Open yourself up to a new experience and let me know how I can help you grow your practice further at home. All the best, A

  3. Hi Adriene,

Youre videos are wonderful especially for beginners like myself. Last month Ive started classes at a studio and since watching your videos Ive started to feel alot more confident in my practice. I know I will get there. I do have a question. What is the best thing to eat after yoga? I have noticed my stomach tends to act up after class depending on what I eat. Thank you so much

  4. Hi Adriene, I'm from Belgium, so far away ;-). Thank you very much for this gentle way to start the day. Like your videos a lot, love your happy attitude and humor even better. And now I see that you posted last week a yoga video for TTOM. Wonderful. Let's get it on! NamastΓ©, Els.

  5. Yes! Thank you Adriene for this truly gentle morning flow. I so appreciate you giving us all the guidance to find our own way into awakening our bodies!

  6. This video was just what my sore muscles and achy body needed after returning from a three-day backpacking trip!

I have only just begun to integrate yoga into a daily practice, and it is truly because of Yoga with Adriene that I am able to do it -- I am so grateful for Adriene's sequences and instruction for poses, guidance, perspective, philosophy and encouragement. I find Adriene so inspiring and in touch with just what I need to hear/do to deepen my yoga practice and find that connection with my radiant self! πŸ˜€

Thank you Adriene for your guidance on this journey of creating an authentic yoga practice!

  7. Thank you so much for your videos! It's difficult to find online teachers that are calming and relaxing, that make me smile, and who have a wide variety of videos, and I'm glad to have discovered your site.

  8. Hey Adriene πŸ™‚
I just wanted to let you know how grateful I am for your yoga videos - this morning yoga sequence in particular!
When I had a nervous breakdown / burnout a couple of months ago I was feeling very depressed and had a hard time just getting through a day.
Yoga with you has helped me so so much. It calms me down, it gives me strength and also a sense of routine which i have been lacking.
Anyway, just wanted to say THANK YOU.

    Best wishes from Germany!

  9. Hi Adrienne, do you have this video available to download? I work away from home half the week and don't have internet connection but hate missing my morning yoga....

  10. Adriene, have you considered making a yogic sleep video? I have wanted to try it and I would love if there were one by you!

    Laura

  11. Good morning Adriene,
I just wanted to say that I did your 30 days of yoga and I loved it! I already began to notice more flexibility with my body, especially my legs. It is also my new favorite way to start my mornings and prepare for my day!
    Thanks again,
    Natalie

  12. Thank you for the morning sequence. I have been having lower back pain, and this sequence helps relieve it. Is the morning sequence on one of your downloadable collections?q

  13. Just now found this wonderful morning video! Gentleness in the morning feels just right and I love how the tone of this video supports nourishing thoughts towards yourself and those around you rather than a hefty dose of adrenaline.
Thank you, as always, for finding the Goldilocks spot for waking up (but kindly) in this video!

  14. Your lovely calm voice and videos getting me through self isolation. I'm 75 and trying to keep the body and mind going through these strange times.
    Thanks.

  15. Love this. I've done lots of your more current routines, but this one appealed to me this morning. Thank you. At 75 and living a very sedentary lifestyle: I walk a bit but mostly sit in cafes and write my novels. I needed this one today to calm my spirit.
