Yoga for Your Third Chakra - Show Your Gold

Yoga for Your Third Chakra - Show Your Gold! September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and St. Jude is teaming up with YouTube to focus on raising awareness and funds for this very important issue. We said, "WE ARE IN." Gold is the truth of the heart!

This yoga practices awakens and balances the 3rd Chakra. Manipura Chakra - also known as your power chakra. Yellow/Gold is the dawning of new perception. When the 3rd chakra is balanced and healthy it can feed us, teach us and magnify our energy so that we can help others. Connect to your courage, your self-worth, self-esteem, and come in to your personal seat of power. This chakra area is the area where responsibility for serving others emerges. It is important for you to strengthen and balance this chakra if you want to discover and manifest whatever your amazing and unique gifts are for the world!

It’s time to #ShowYourGold for the kids of St. Jude! Join me in this awesome 3rd chakra practice (full of warrior poses!) and support these amazing little warriors in their big fight against childhood cancer:stjude.org/showyourgold

  1. Just what I needed today, Adriene! I'm generally a positive, optimistic person and have found tremendous joy, gratitude, energy, relief, and comfort from your videos since I kicked off my "official" practice of yoga with your "30 days of yoga" series. Lately, though, life's been extra stressful and I've found myself unraveling a bit from the pressures of being a single mom needing to build enough income to fully support her family of three, but who still feels a strong pull to continue being the "mom" she knows is best for her 19- and 17-year-old, preparing them for launch...not to mention trying desperately to house train a new puppy! Last night, especially, it just all finally began to feel like too much.

And then, this morning, I awoke early & decided to "hop on my mat" and start my day on a hopeful note...and there you were. Not only helping me reconnect to my inner power, but reminding me that both of my children are generally healthy and that things could certainly be worse.

Thank you for all you do. Though I've engaged in many physical activities over the years, none lasted very long, whether due to injury, boredom, or imperfect circumstances. Yoga is the first physical endeavor I've undertaken that just "feels right," supporting not only my body, but my mind and my spirit, as well, reminding me just how closely they're all connected. And because of its very personal nature, doing yoga in my bedroom before anyone's awake is, for me, an ideal way to start (and sometimes end) my day. Thank you for making it possible.

    1. Dearest Gwen,

Thank you kindly for your beautifully stated thougts of appreciation!

      Lee

  2. I do appreciate your hard work. Supporting any form of cancer awareness is awesome. Your loving personality doesn't surprise. However you said something in this video that has made me a fan forever. You opened up my eyes to a different Adriene. You lit a passionate fire inside me as I had the veil removed from in front my eyes. I know we are unlikely to meet. In the event we ever do. I'd take every millisecond to enjoy every aspect of you from the crown to your feet.

  6. Dear Adriene, this practice came up this morning as I did yoga before a colonoscopy. Perfectly appropriate for the day, on all levels. Feeling good and going for the gold! Thank you. Namaste.

  7. Perfect. Healing. Energy. Half-way across the world in Africa, I eagerly look forward to your weekly emails & yoga videos. Each one is a gem. Thank you.

  8. Hi Adriene, Lovely to practice with you,

Please can you let us know , if you have considered making videos for all Charkas.

  9. Hello Adriene,

First, I wish to thank you for the yoga videos you post. I practice your "30 days" on whims. I love it.

Now the more important part: do you have a video for yoga for specific sickness? I just recently found that one of my friends got a liver cancer from under-treated Hep C. I want to share with her "yoga for liver cancer", if there is such a thing. Will you consider posting it on youtube, please?

    Namaste,

    Yoshie
