  1. Writing this comment mostly for motivation, self-evaluation, and planning (selfish comment, lol). Did the 30 day challenge during the challenge I stopped smoking on January 8, 20015 and haven't smoked since. Have done a few other sessions but got demotivated (depressed cause of not smoking) and then had to go to surgery myself (So recovery time). Don't ask was gross.

Now I'm healed Physically. My Doctor said it would be best for me to walk for 30 minutes before doing any other exercises. So I have been doing that 3 to 4 days out of the week. My legs are getting sore. My plan is to walk for 30 minutes (warm up) do Yoga with Adriene or walk 30 minutes, lift weights, then do Yoga with Adriene.

Is slow going so far. I need to be patient with my self and not get down on my self when I don't accomplish a goal. My plan to start working out with you again on Monday Ms. Adriene. Thanks for the emails. They really do help. Love you...See you soon.

    1. Chad, I'm right with you. Did the 30 Days of Yoga.. I'm in such a better place mentally and physically, but am far from the in-shape person I had been two years ago (aerobics, strength training, stretching, kick boxing). Life happened on a personal level and I'm now starting to come back into myself.

I, too, am trying to commit to 30 minutes of walking per day and any Adriene yoga workout that feels right for that particular day.

Wouldn't have started this without the 30 Days of Yoga. Thank you Adriene.

      1. Roberta,

I got demotivated again. I was working with someone on the walking and they stopped ๐Ÿ™ I was feeling so much better. Had to do yoga with Adriana after the walks my legs were so stiff/sore. Now I guess I have to go back to isolating workouts again.

Plus summer isn't over but it's not the beginning of it any more so my mood changes and that's not good. I enjoy working out in the summer heat. It's just all the groups are all women and I don't be the only guy in the group. Plus money is an issue. Everyone thinks you'll save lots of money if one stops smoking but it all goes to food and/or other things.

Thanks hope you doing better than me. Sorry I'm not the positive yogi today. Just bummed that my walking buddy quite and can't find a new one.

  2. Hi Adriene! I really am trying to keep doing yoga, but I have IBS, and after going for a good while without a flareup, have had a couple pretty close together. When this happens, I just can't seem to do anything. But, I am not giving up! Thank you for all you do, and I hope in the next day or two I will be back on the mat!

    1. I am still recovery from Inflammatory bowel Disease and think the stretching and movement of the yoga is helping. Even if I have to hit pause 5 minutes in to go the bathroom...lol

    2. I am a longtime sufferer of IBS myself and can really empathize and sympathize with you here. Adriene's videos have made it possible for me to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle while suffering through bad flare-ups. I have found that on those days when un-coiling yourself from the bed or couch to do ANYTHING is truly the most difficult battle EVER, her gentle videos that help you refocus on your breath and unkinking the body can be the best therapeutic benefit I have yet to encounter. I like her gentle morning yoga video, or yoga for when you are feeling sick, and even the one for menstrual cramps. I think she also has a 10 min savasana video which is awesome! Just lying down, stretching out, and mindfully breathing into the belly can be sooo soothing! I hope you find this helpful! And thank you thank you thank you (to no end) for Adriene and her beautiful bubbly personality and amazing videos!

  3. I love these videos and thanks for being so into it yourself, Adriene! It makes the experience authentic for me and just as you hope for all of your viewing yogis, I am coming back to it everyday -- the level of discipline both reachable and challenging in a way that makes me feel optimistic and healthy!

I have a question. I'm 51, not in horrible shape per se, but I used to have muscles when I worked on a farm and was pretty physical, and since then, I have grown a pooch (stress? menopause?) and where there were once big muscles, it's kinda loose. I started doing yoga in February. Do you think I will ever be able to tone up? I'm thinking that it will take about a year with slow, real changes happening -- but would love to know if that is realistic or me being wishful.

Can't help but wonder about the possibilities ... very grateful at this point to be where I'm at, but I suppose I'm learning to adapt to the changes and wanting a little edge over this thing called 'aging.' Unavoidable for sure and I am not about to try anything artificial, because I'm an au natural kinda gal ๐Ÿ™‚

Have you ever know anyone like me to get results with toning and yoga? Thank you!

  4. This was a great flow sequence! I will definetly miss THE ROOM but as long as I will not have to miss YOU, life is GOOD!!
good luck with the big move โ˜บ

  5. I just have to tell you what a difference you and yoga have made for me. I was feeling out of touch with myself due largely to the changes I was seeing because of menipause. But since I have made it a daily ritual to meet you on the mat, I feel stronger, graceful, and confident. Thank you so much for sharing your practice and knowledge of yoga with us.

  6. Thanks Adriene! It was another great practice. It's always good to remember when one door closes another opens:) All the best with the new place!

  7. Hi adriene
    greetings from india!
I've been following your videos for over 6 months now and they've helped me so much.
This one in particular was beautiful and helped me in a particularly tight spot. Couldn't resist writing in ๐Ÿ™‚
Love you and I'm definitely going to miss this space.

  8. I'm a fan from South Korea. I was distressed with a important job interview which will be on tuesday. and I feel strange strength and forgot all the worries about that after this balancing flow. So thanks Adriene. I hope i can do my job presentation well with this balanced mind and body ๐Ÿ™‚

  10. I have been practicing yoga, two years now and I love the way it makes me feel! I really enjoyed the flow with you this evening! Looking forward to practicing again in your new space!

  11. Can't wait to try out this video!

I wanted to say the last letter was AWESOME! I have done so many solo trips to Disney World and I will always support anyone that goes to the parks alone. It is a fun and unique experience. So glad you ended up going!

I moved to the Orlando area a few months ago and still find days I want to explore the parks by myself.

Being totally happy with your own company is a struggle for so many people that I'm so thankful I'm able to enjoy it.

    Peace,
    ChelSea

  12. That's actually a comment on your "Party of One" - letter, where you are writing about "stepping out of your comfort zone"...while my definition of "Party of One" is more like "stepping into my comfort zone" ๐Ÿ™‚ it's something everybody should really cultivate - it's a journey that never ends. you can always

  13. This was exactly what I needed after days of worry and fear about change and not knowing which direction to take. Thanks for this and all your other videos, and best of luck on your new adventure! Looking forward to seeing where you end up and continuing to grow along with you.

  14. I just finished 30 days of yoga the whole experience was great! When I got to the 30th day I had a lot on my mind (I'm planning a wedding) I was planning to just follow along with you and I did for a bit but then I started doing my own. I have to say it was an amazing practice. Thanks for providing the opportunity to listen to our own bodies and minds it was a completely freeing experience!

    Namaste

  15. You were right, Adriene, last video in that room and while it isn't my home, I can feel a bit of connection as your videos are where I started with regular yoga practice! I am excited to see your new space!

This video was wonderful! I loved how the flow picked up and got my heart rate up!

Thank you for allowing me into your yoga space and for teaching mindfulness of head, heart and body!

  16. That was fun! I really loved that balancing flow! It rocked......strengthening, lengthening and flexibility rolled into a neat yoga practice! Sweet! Thank you, Adriene
