Yoga Camp - Day 18

I know it is hard to get to the mat but you are doing GREAT. What does day 18 have in store? Let's find out. This practice guides us to stretch, tone and practice creating a full body experience through spinal and breath work. This yoga reminds us to connect or re-connect to the big picture. Feeling stuck? Not getting what you want? Connect your mantra to the movement and... practice. I never said it would all be easy. But work to find ease. Surrender and breathe. Stick with it. This one is great for the wrists.

You can. Let me know how it goes!

  1. Thank you Adriene for this wonderful yoga camp.

I have kept at it with you through this 18th day, and plan to continue through the 30th. This may seem too easy (as you apparently got an email about) for some, but I am totally loving this boot camp. It is helping me to focus and stay focused, to learn the correct alinement, to take time to adjust my pose for comfort and correctness.

Thank you so much -- I so look forward to each morning for my Yoga Bootcamp with Adriene time.

  2. Thank you for all the giggles. That is what makes yoga fun for me...giggling and laughing.

  3. Dear Adrien,

I want to thank you for being brave and courageous and doing something on line that I have not seen any other yoga teacher do. You teach a kind of yoga that is meditative and calming rather than the "workout" type of yoga that everyone else does. After the first day I remember thinking "This is not REAL yoga." But as I kept with it, I am realizing that this is actually more authentic than all the others because this helps with turning inward and really being present with myself as I follow your instructions and gives me the freedom to "find what feels good" for me. So, THANK YOU!!!!

    1. I just want to express my grattitude for you and your yoga practice. I have never been able to commit to regular yoga practice, although I need it greatly. Every class or home practice I attempted was helpful, but I never could control my 'monkey mind', and found myself getting bored, fidgety, and wishing the instructor would,'just stop talking'.
Not so with you! I enjoy hearing you speak, the little laughs thrown in, and the realness of the whole experience. I look forward every day to spending this time, and if I should miss a day, my body craves it!
      Again, thank you!

      Namaste

    2. Yes, yoga should offer the tools to connect to one's higher self. True self. The form can look different but the intention the same.

      Thank you Anna. Namaste!

  4. I really needed today´s mantra. The practice felt good and changed my mood in a positive way.

    Thank you, Adriene!

  5. Today's mantra meant a lot to me. I really needed to remind myself to surrender myself today to get through the difficult time I'm in now... full of uncertainties, betrayal, lack of trust, loneliness, and fear.
It reminded me that as long as I do everything I can do to the best of my ability, I'm allow to let go of the rest that is out of my control--no need to fuss and struggle, no need to blame and resent. Surrender!

Your yoga camp helps me to be present and stay true to myself. It helps me to focus on what I can and surrender and forgive the rest. Thanks Adriene for all the hard work you put in and sharing your gift freely with others. You rock! 🙂

  6. My daughter introduced me to Yoga for anxiety as I suffer from PTSD. She also introduced me to your online CAMP, thank you for keeping it basic and calming, some may need to be motivated to push, I on the other hand need to relax and remind myself of the power within my spirit to heal through the gentle force found in Yoga breathing and calm stretching.

  7. Thank you. I have been holding on to so much junk and I didn't realize how good it would feel to surrender to it and let go. This practice moved me to tears. I can feel the light at the end of the tunnel now. Thank you for guiding me through this!

  8. It was so hard to surrender today. The funny thing is, it took attempting to surrender to realize how much tension, chaos, and control I was holding onto in the first place. Thank you for incorporating this lesson in our practice.

  9. Hi Adriene,

Amazing practice today 🙂 I just had a quick question about reclined cobbler's pose. Should you let your back arch naturally or should you try and have it flush with the mat.

As always, thanks so much for the wonderful practice. I always feel so awake and rejuvenated afterwards. You are an amazing teacher. Thank you for all you are teaching me!

  10. Loved today's practice! Thank you for making yoga so accessible and enjoyable!

Where did you get your sweater from day 18? It's so cute.

  11. Dear Adriene

I can't express how thankful I am to you for your Yoga videos, especially in these times! I started end of March, and immediately liked the calm and hearty way of how you instruct in the videos. Despite being a complete beginner, I was always able to follow and felt motivated. Since I started, I do Yoga every morning and am always looking forward to the next day.
Thank you so much, you are truly inspiring and simply awesome! 🙂

    Warmest greetings from Switzerland!
