what's up everyone welcome to the yoga with Adriene v-log I'm Adriene and today we just have a quick update on the channel and we're getting answer some questions first things first I've been getting a lot of questions requests for me to speak about my diet the food I eat what that looks like and I think that's an interesting request and an interesting question an important um but I'm not going to answer that today it's like no I am going to answer that but in another video I'll get a little more specific about um yeah just what what my diet looks like for me and how that's specific particular for me so I will do that another video with visuals food and drink visuals fancy um because I don't think that answering that right now is interesting or valuable until after I've said this which is which is truly my advice I think in my response to the questions that I'm getting which is for me advice on diet and food is such a individual and personalized thing um so here's here's my best advice for the kind of the group which is listen to your body I know it sounds like a textbook yoga answer but it really is my honest truthful answer that I feel like is the most valuable it's not just oh when I eat bad I feel bad I think it can be just like your yoga practice when you know you first hop on the mat say you're new to the practice or you haven't been on the mat in a while you know you just kind of check in with the outer layers slowly going further you know we kind of just check in with the gross and then through the practice through the return to the man returning to the breath the repetition chipping weighted we start to kind of unlock and discover these other bits and pieces as my friend would say from Australia we start to you know gain awareness and acknowledge these other little bits of pieces so for me that's my journey with food like I said I'll go into the more specific you know Adrien style diet on another date and try to make it fun but for now it's like my most valuable answer I feel like is the honest one which is listen children will listen listen to your body and and stay curious so when you eat a certain thing slow or down just like in yoga pay attention expand your awareness if this is your thing or you think this might be helpful write it down I have lots of friends who who do that and I experimented with that and I think yeah experiment it's kind of the the key vocabulary word here is it's really not about right or wrong just like in youit's about the experiment it's about listening to your body and your body will tell you my friends and the more and more you kind of practice this it's another vocab word there the more and more you kind of commit to the practice of listening to your body when it comes to food I think the easier it'll come to kind of maintain a diet that feels good for you and that can create you know lasting change that is something you can maintain so my story after that is listen to your body stay curious and don't be so hard on yourself I will do another video that's that's again more specific on the food and drink it'll be and maybe I'll even get my friend Hilah cooking over here to do that with me I have to segue to reboot here because the community is still growing it's um such a joy to wake up and see the community just kind of answering each other's questions and inspiring each other um if you this great community group of people kind of going through similar things that you are and just kind of feel like you're not alone it's really wonderful to know that you're in a community and if you
