hey everyone welcome to yoga with Adriene vlog I'm Adriene and I'm here to wish you a very happy new year it's 2014 baby it's crazy it went by so fast 2013 is long gone and it's now a fresh new year an opportunity to hit the refresh button reboot restart and open yourself up to a new experience new discoveries and that's what we're planning to do here at the yoga with Adriene Channel and in my own personal life I'm really hoping to grow this community this year and keep learning so a couple of things in order to make that happen that we're planning first of all new episodes I feel like I can't move in this chair because I'm gonna crickety old chair again but new episodes they start January 15th and we're gonna kick it off with a posture that's going to help you with your chaturanga practice so that'll be great and then we'll continue with consistent episodes throughout the year and we love hearing your requests and your responses one as a way of continuing to nurture and build the community but two because we really do listen to you guys it's great to kind of take everybody's requests and make them come to life and compile them in a nice way that hopefully will help more than just the person who requested it will help everybody so you know all my mentors my parents everyone always told me you know it's always good to ask questions so I believe in that so Shay and your questions on in the next thing is you might want to hop on to the newsletter train if you haven't already subscribe at yoga with Adriene comm because guess what we're gonna do this year well actually get a write newsletter so embarrassing people writing in hey Adrian I think something's up with your newsletters not working I'm like just sitting there going like no we've only sent out one so hey at least we're honest about it we sent out one really awesome one though last year anyway um actually we sent out to use we sent one out in December so ha but anyway we're gonna we're planning to our intentions are to send regular newsletters these will be jam-packed with discoveries that we're making as we go along as well of course what's happening on the channel and any new discoveries we might make one thing that is gonna be in the newsletter and this is a goal of ours for the new year is to incorporate more yoga lifestyle stuff into the channel so you'll still beginning your foundations in your sequences but we're planning to have guest appearances my first guest is a childhood best friend of mine I've known her since kindergarten and she's a Kundalini yogi so she was grace graciously agreed to join us on the channel and be our first guest yeah I'm so excited and so through the guest appearances and other things we'll be able to kind of branch out of not just the asana but the entire yoga practice and for me that's gonna be great too because I'm gonna be able to learn with you from our guests so I as a teacher I'm learning I as your friend I'm still learning and yeah we're all learning together that's not it's super corny but it's so true that brings me to the next thing yoga lifestyle is also going to help us grow in when in terms of learning the rich history of yoga so if you're just morning she's in the asana you can stick on that you know you can stay on that playlist but if you're if you're starting to want to go a little bit deeper into your practice and learn about the limbs of yoga or other things that kind of come along with yoga's rich history and sacred texts and lifestyle and stuff like that I feel like I'm rambling but we're gonna start incorporating those sort of things into the channel as well and that'll be happening through videos like this with the vlog so stay tuned for that another goal in addition to yoga lifestyle and community building and stuff like that is that we want to travel so we'll be doing a little bit of travel this year I'm just throwing it out there I Dan you Airy first said I was gonna go to the UK this year so if you're from the UK and you're watching I hope to come see you this year in fact I plan I will see you this year 2014 manifest another thing I want to do this year is grow the pranayama yoga playlist I think we'll be able to do that with some of our guest appearances some of our guests but also I think that that's just something that I would like to have on the channel more to show the integrity of our practice on what we're trying to share and also just to keep learning ways to connect and reconnect to the breath so important and breath is awesome because it's this one thing that we all share no matter where we live where we buy our groceries you know I can go on and on the one thing we all share is this breath this pulse this lifeforce so that's pretty rad I want to give
