We are human.
Sometimes we seek fulfillment, happiness, and joy from an outside source. But I feel like we are all on to ourselves.
We know, deeply, somewhere that it has got to come from within. I am here to support you in committing to the internal work. Really. This month, I propose we focus on LIVING GRATEFUL.
Scientific research has now proven that implementing an attitude of gratitude into our regular routine changes the molecular structure of our brain. It’s true! Practicing gratitude keeps gray matter functioning, making us feel healthier and happier.
When we feel good, the central nervous system is affected too.
We are less reactive, less stressed, and less resistant to change.
Welcome peace, from within.
So count your shooting stars, folks. Count your blessings.
November is often a month when we see the theme of gratitude around us, at least here in the US we see a surge of gratitude sharing during this time of year.
There are often posts from people sharing on social media what they are thankful for and there are many 30 day gratitude challenges shared as well. In the four years that we’ve been doing the yoga calendars, we’ve never actually had a gratitude theme for November. As we are winding down this decade, we could not imagine a better way to enter a new decade than with gratitude.
This month our community theme is about Living Grateful.
This month’s yoga calendar begins by grounding into gratitude with a special root chakra practice. Then the month builds with opportunities to be present, be mindfulness, and connect with our inner peace.
For November 18-21 we have the 4-day Shanti Series on the calendar. The Shanti Series guides you to find peace here and now – no matter what is going on. If you are going thruchallenges or troubles, or if you are riding on the top of the wave, meet yourself on the mat to evoke Shanti, peace.
NOTE: The Shanti Series is available on the Find What Feels Good membership at www.fwfg.com. If you are not a member, you can sign up for a free 7-day trial and take on the whole series. If not, we’ve got your back too. On November 18-21 there are alternate practices from the free YouTube channel listed for you instead. As always, no pal left behind!
Then the month concludes with the “I am grateful” practice from our Yoga Camp series. I can’t think of a better way to enter the last month of 2019 than by Living Grateful.
As always, you are invited to take on the whole month or drop in throughout the month and see what you can uncover.
Approach each day with an open mind and heart, and together we will explore Living Grateful!
Invite someone to join you on this month of gratitude practice.
I got your back.
Share your experiences with the Kula and the community with #ywagrateful.
