April 2021 Yoga Calendar - RENEW

Scroll down for your free calendar and playlist for the month.

Here is your Yoga With Adriene Free monthly Yoga calendar! No gimmicks, no catch.

This is an offering to help you get on the mat regularly to cultivate balance, to guide you toward inner peace, and to equip you with energy to serve. If you are intuiting that you might benefit from a regular and sustainable at home yoga practice – look no further.

If this is your first time joining us, welcome!

Each month, we come together as a community around a theme that inspires questions and guides intention for your practice both on and off the mat.

The practices selected support your exploration of the theme, whether you are taking on the whole month or dropping in for a single whenever you like.

The practices on the calendar are free and are all available on the Yoga With Adriene YouTube channel. To make things easy, we have created a monthly playlist for you to follow!

You will also see some optional Find What Feels Good App practices on the calendar, they are noted as FWFG practices. We include alternate free YouTube practices on those days for those who are not members. Everyone wins, yoga for all.

This month our community theme is RENEW. A collection of yoga and meditation practices that encourage both rest and renewal.

This theme is an action, one that invites contemplation.

As we bring in this new season, we begin the processes of re-emerging (and vaccination) with a big opportunity, perhaps even responsibility, to make our next steps mindful ones. Make them count.

Just as our practice teaches us, we can keep indulging distraction or we can release it, and begin again.

What did we learn?

What are we in the process of learning?

What changed? What is changing?

What needs our attention?

This month’s theme invites us to embrace a fresh start with intention.

How can we move in a way where our next actions make a meaningful difference? Both in the quality of our lives, and the lives of others. Would it be too hasty to miss this moment? Do we want to just revert back to old ways of moving around?

May we learn to move slowly still, unhurried,

May we build strength with a good foundation,

May we learn to take our truths with us wherever we go.

April comes with choice, with opportunity.

May our practice serve as classroom and refuge to Find What Feels Good, so that we may best serve others and embody our true self - now.

  1. I am so excited to start Renew. I have been following Adriene for a while now and this will be my 4th full month that I am joining in a row! I feel so much stronger and better for it. I have found my passion that’s for sure! Thank you so much Adriene.

    1. Need to finish up True for the third time first, then I can’t wait to see what Renew is like!

  2. I can’t wait to start YWA April yoga practice! After doing 30 days Breath practice, I have felt centered, relaxed abs yes...taller. Being on the mat each day with Adrienne is like a therapeutic visit with an friend. The calm and renewed sense of energy from YWA has truly been a gift during these trying times. Thank you

  3. Oh my goodness Adriene, you have been a Godsend this year for sure... As a yoga teacher I have always suggested my students follow you and a lot do. And then this year due to stress etc , I found myself almost crippled with various complaints, muscular pain etc. I came to my mat on 1st Jan wo start being a student, a beginner again with you. I spent a lot of time in child's pose, asanas I had done for years were out of reach, I learnt to be humble again and listen to my body. Slowly day by day the strength is returning, postures are more easeful and I am relearning patience ! Thank you. Namaste

  4. Thank you so much, Adriene. You are so faithful, and your timing is impeccable.

    Lots of love,
    Nancy

  5. Dear Adriene,

I get it that in the springtime which is associated with renewal and re-emergence you would offer something to support that and for this I'm thankful but I'm flummoxed with your reference to vaccination as being a part of this process.

    1. Well, we need to get vaccinated to stop the pandemic. And we need that to happen in order to re-emerge.

    2. Re-emerge.... for me, it means I can visit my friends for real... I got my first shot yesterday.... and after my second on April 17th, I can see and touch my family and friends. Its been a long winter. I'm ready to Re-emerge

    3. Sahaja, I feel the same. I really trusted that this is the only room where the pressure of the vaccination and the mindgame of right or wrong (opportunity vs. responsibility!?) doesn't enter. But now it's here and that is making me feel quite sad.

      1. I'm sorry you feel sad about this. I do wonder if it's a question of interpretation. For myself, it makes sense that Adriene talks about vaccination in terms of new beginnings (I'm looking forward to the progression of the vaccination roll out, to feel that people are increasingly protected from dying of covid-19, and to feel that we can more safely return to meeting and socialising). But I didn't feel the references to responsibility related to vaccination. Instead I felt that Adrienne was talking about being mindful about how we want to be and act in society as we start to go back to 'normal'. This theme appeals to me a lot and feels really timely, because at the start of the pandemic I felt more aware that usual about different elements of wider society, nationally and globally, and more thoughtful about needs and challenges and how I might be involved in creating some of those challenges and also how I might be involved in change and actively helping people. But during the winter I increasingly started to feel like I'm 'asleep', and I don't like that feeling. I'm really looking forward to embracing this idea of renewal and a fresh start - I hope to return to the feeling that yoga practice helps me feel a strong connection to society and nature, together with agency to work towards positive changes. I really appreciate that Adriene often refers to these themes as well as connection to ourselves (which is of course so important!). I hope you can enjoy this calendar if you feel like doing it! All the best

    4. Sahaja
I agree. I find it very disheartening to have that mentioned here. I was really hoping this would be the one place we could all come and not have that shoved in our faces. I was really hoping the only agenda here would be yoga.

  6. I am blessed to find such a good yoga instructor,I can feel the changes in my body with a regular practice. Thank you for this opportunity to make me and my family healthier.
Hoping for more vedios on prenatal yoga.
    Love from India!!

  7. Daily practice with my husband has not only increased my physical strength and flexibility, it gives us an opportunity to laugh. We always find ourselves laughing as we try a new posture. And then of course, most days yoga is followed by a dance party

  8. Thanks so much Adriene. I have been coming to the at daily since the 1/1/21 and am really enjoying it, thanks to you and the way you explain yoga and the breathing which is fabulous .
    Love Lainey xxx

  9. Yes , I’m so inspired of YWA .
You really gives bounces to my every day routine activities!
Yoga now is my life , I can’t do my everyday routine without having my yoga with YWA.
You’re amazing that you turned my everyday routine as living breath that moves me in the way my breath and body commands .
    I love you Adriene ♥️♥️♥️

  10. I started following Adriene about 5 years ago when I was going through tough times with anxiety due to menopause along with sciatic nerve pain where I could t really sit or stand for long, but today I am happy to say no more anxiety or sciatic pain without medication. I tell everyone and anyone about her. She was a god send ❤️

  11. Thank you for creating these 30-day calendars. It is so helpful to have the practice for the day at my fingertips without the distractions of scrolling through YouTube “suggestions.” I appreciate the effort that goes into the calendar.

  12. On 1st April, I will reach my 365 consecutive days practice. I never thought that I'd still be committed to yoga on a daily basis one year on but I always make time for even the shortest practice before I go to bed, every day. It's helped me hugely as a single parent working from home during the pandemic. I'm looking forward to seeing what April brings. Thank you, Adriene

  13. WOW! I love this motto for April. Because it is my birthday soon and I'll be 50! Yoga is definitely a practice and a lifestyle that I will take with me into my new decade. I certainly need to learn how to slow down more, just be still contemplating the amazing miracle of my life and all the abundance. I feel blessed and truly grateful to YWA for standing by me renewing my self-commitment.

  14. I was tuned into Yoga with Adrienne by my daughter in law. Absolutely love it and have been following the daily practices since new years. Thank you so much for these fantastic practices.

  15. Thank you mail ( past week ) at this difficult time. I am proud of Asian but nowadays scared to go out. But you send me email, read them, checked web site. My feeling was much better !! Thank you so much.

  16. Thank you for the April calendar! These help to gently remind me to take time for a daily practice, and at 68 I am grateful to find that yoga is filling my life with gentle and STRONG reminders that my health - mental and physical - is important.

  17. Everyone falls deeply in love with Adriene she’s so genuinely kind, thoughtful and a extremely loving person ❤️She is a piece of sunshine and I am so happy that I have found her and the FWFG community. Adriene’s Yoga practices make me feel so much more fluid, healthier and happier. Thank you so Adriene and Benji for being you ❤️

  18. YWA has really been a game changer for me. I wanted to make a difference in my daily routine (doing more than just walking) and heard Adriene being interviewed on NPR. Talking about the benefits (body, mind & spirit) of yoga during the pandemic and mentioning a 30 day journey. Immediately signed up and recruited one of my sisters and a few friends. Needless to say, I am feeling energized as I completed the 30 day journey and I am continuing to make yoga part of my daily routine!

Thank you Adriene for sharing your knowledge, expertise, optimism and giving so many people opportunity and direction on ways to stay healthy, focused and ALIVE!

  19. Thank you Adriene! It’s so exciting to see the renew calendar! You are so good at what you do, and have changed so many lives, including mine.❤️

  20. Thankyou Adriene. I started the 30 day breathe at the beginning of March and I feel so much better happier and stronger. I’m a yoga convert. ‍♀️ Looking forward to the April sessions

  21. Adriene, you are absolutely a gift to this world! And the love and good wishes you send out come back to you from all of us! Thank you!!! Namaste!!

  22. April will mark 2 years that I have been doing YWA. There have been breaks for injury and illness but I always come back. I love that I learn every practice. Took me over a year to really feel the grounding in my feet and now I say ‘head over heart, heart over pelvis’ when I walk to remind me of my posture. Thank you so much for sharing your gift.

  23. YWA was recommended to me last year during lockdown and I now can't start my day with my dose of Adrienne's calming energy!

I started Yoga a few years ago but had been very sporadic with it. I started occasionally doing YWA from about June but committed to daily practice from November.

I am loving the calendar - some days I have less time so I simple shift the days around but this commitment has shifted my energy and I'm loving it!

Thank you, Adrienne, you calmed this monkey mind and I'm very grateful xx

  24. Thank you, Adriene, for your time. I love the beautiful letters you send, you are an amazing inspiring individual. And thank you for April’s calendar. Namaste Hello, Benji. ❤️

  25. I have to say :"Thank you" But thats not enough. There are no words, to discribe how much you helped me <3
Since January I step on my mat every day, thanks to your monthly calenders! Didn´t know what i would do without it. You help me in this though time a lot 🙂

  26. Thank you so much Adriene. I've heard about you for years and have only done a couple of classes so far, but you are everything that I look for in a yoga teacher -- great classes, compassion & spirituality, relevant and a sense of humor too.

  27. Adriene, thank you for keeping me sane, making me stronger - not only physically! - and for your generosity/all the work you put out there for us to lean into and grow.
    Warmly, from Brittany in France

  28. Adriene, you are my start in every new day! Thank you so much for guiding and encouraging since three years.

  29. All I can say is God bless Adrienne. One of the kindest, sweetest persons who I have never met but inspires me all the time.

  30. Merci Adriene, I can't begin to tell you how grateful I am for all your hard work in creating these yoga sessions. Being a nurse with chronic back pain isn't all bubbles, this practice keeps me on my feet and much more flexible......thanks for the emails and the monthly practice calendars.....❤

  31. Reading these comments are very inspiring. It sounds like something I have been looking for a long time Gentle, peaceful and restoring. This is my first visit to this site so I’ve only begun to learn about YWA. I am a beginner who has had several health problems in the last year. I’m stable now and want to renew my strength, endurance and vitality. I hope this is a place for me, a beginner!
