Yoga and Pranayama Breath Practice For The Spine.   4. Yoga with Adriene YouTube videos have helped me strengthen my lower back and recover from a foot injury. However I had surgery for a detached retina this week and I am unsure what I can safely do in terms of yoga. Do you have any experience with this?

  7. thank you. so much weight this word, "thank you" have. it's almost always hard for me to deal with what serve me. I feel as if I have two people inside me wants to serve everyone around and from all this round energy forget the self- the within my prana (as you thought me to say) I have been practicing with you for the past two years flowing and falling with you by my side. today as I was reading your email I got butterfly's in my stomach - I stopped studying for 30 min of reconnecting and tuned into the loving space I can truthfully say I forgot was available to me. so thank you. for the bottom of my prana, for letting me let go, hope you can understand the great influence it had on me and how much I appreciate it.

Now as I go deeper and deeper, I am really curious about your teacher training. Where did you learn to be a Yoga teacher? Have you been to a course in India? I would be really happy to know more :-).

  15. This was an enjoyable practice for me today. I almost did crow pose! I just fell forward and was like; Holly Buckets. It is work to love myself at times. Finding what serves me is difficult too. Expressing that to the outside world can be confusing and gets distorted.

  18. I appreciate you! That was one of the nicest compliments I received as a teacher, so I'm passing it forward to you. I often forget about my own practice, so at the least I put on soft relaxing music and watch your video.
    It inspires me, I take a pad out, start personal writing, start creating a class for my week, a lot flows out on paper, in my heart and mind. So I take that type of yoga, although not always on the mat at home.

    First off, I want to say how much I am enjoying your videos. I tried to start REVOLUTION when you had released it... but i'd just had a C-Section in November and my body wasn't quite there yet. Anyhow - I've come back to it now and I've just finished day 9. Loving it. Going strong and feeling great.
    However, I do want to know... is it possible to gain weight from muscle being built within 9 days? I'm a naturally heavy set build - I am naturally strong. I'm watching my food intake (weight watchers/I did a Kitchery cleanse this weekend also) so I thought the addition of yoga to my routine would help me lose weight. If it is muscle being built I'm 100% ok with it. I just wasn't sure how fast it started happening. Any advice (if you have time) would be appreciated. Also - your yoga videos are really helping me with my post partum onset high functioning anxiety... so thanks for that too!

  23. Hi Adriene! I am so grateful that you offer this service free and online. I came across your videos through a Google search and did a few specifically related to stress, then completed Revolution. I have been practicing with you almost daily for a few months now and this practice has had such a positive impact on me physically, mentally & emotionally (especially as a stay-at-home mom to young children!) Financial and logistical limitations prevent me from attending a studio class on a regular basis, so I really appreciate you sharing of your time and talents. I love that there is such a large variety of practices to choose from to meet my specifics needs that day and to avoid repetitive boredom, and I also really enjoy your teaching style and personality. When my children aren’t napping during my practice time, they really enjoy watching you as well and sometimes join in. 🙂 They have all kinds of questions about you and ask if we can meet you or go to your home studio, lol. So if you ever tour within driving distance of central Iowa, we will make a point to attend! 🙂 Thank you again – another great practice today!

    I feel a big thank you is long overdue. I started doing yoga along with your tutorials last autumn (fall to you) after searching youtube for 'beginners yoga' and you were the first link that came up, and I'm so glad you did. I really love your humour and the levity that you bring to the practice. I had been meditating for over a year and a half but I felt I had hit a bit of a wall with it. Your yoga practice has really helped me stir things up though and I now try to balance the meditation and yoga in my daily practice. You have helped, and still are helping me so much. I went though a break-up of a relationship two years ago that hit me hard. I started drinking too much and began having terrible anxiety. I stopped drinking maybe a month before I found your videos, but I believe following your practice on a daily basis has really given me strength to stay dry (day to day), as well as allowing me to drop other harmful behaviours by the wayside. I feel that I am able to connect with and process my emotions much more honestly and efficiently now than before. It's a slow, tough journey but I feel like I have already come such a long way. I am so thankful to you and I have so much love for you my friend. Namaste.

  25. I concur- synchronicity. This is perfect. I have an interesting occupation and many men my age are judgmental although they can be very hypocritical. Anyhow- after more than five years of being single i have finally started seeing an amazing man who is much younger. It is better than any relationship I have ever been in so far and I hope that it lasts. Could not have done it without you! I am in better shape physically now than I was in my 20's and thanks to my long time Zen practice, mentally, as well.
    Respect and equality are so important. Nothing better than love and service. . .

  26. Beautiful Adriene, thank you so much for your awesome yoga sessions. I've always liked yoga but I never fully understood it until I started doing sessions with you. Now I can't wait to hop on the mat, have a chuckle and find what feels good, even on the days when I don't feel good. From one teacher to another, you are incredibly intuitive about what your students need. Today you taught me an easier way to get into crows pose and I managed to keep up with you (and go beyond my limits!!). The world needs more beautiful and inspirational people in it just like you.   27. Adriene you have changed the way I practice yoga. In the past I used to go to a weekly class but never really practiced at home, properly anyway. I came across the revolution in January and I'd say I've fitted in a practice 5 days out of 7. I find I crave my practice now, it's such r&r in the proper sense. Thanks Adriene you videos have been transformative!

  28. I have been going through the back videos that you post. I have been trying to find what works. I have scoliosis and have had two back surgeries so I have two titanium rods in my back. I am in chronic back pain every day. Usually yoga and working out helps a lot, but some days are better than most. Please continue to post vides for the back! If you could do more therapeutic ones for the back, that would be really helpful. Maybe some videos for people with scoliosis?? Thank you Adriene!

And as a busy mom with two little ones, this gives me the opportunity to treat myself kindly, even when it's hard to get out of the house for a yoga practice. I love all the Yoga With Adriene videos (despite having to make adjustments to get through some of them ) however this Yoga + Pranayama for the spine practice has to be up there in my top 5; it's perfect if I've only got 30 minutes to practice or if I'm feeling tired, run down or in need of some TLC. This gentle practice boosts my system and calms my mind and I'm ready to go - plus it features the gorgeous Benji- thank you Adriene as always for your generosity and your loving kindness, namaste
