Yoga for After a Disaster

10/01 by Yoga With Adriene 13 Comments

Yoga for After Disaster is a 30 min healing yoga and meditation practice to help you find comfort and peace… post disaster. Use the tools of yoga and pranayama to guide yourself inward so that you can move through the world with love and grace. Perfect for anxiety, stress, or trauma. We are all in this together. Connect to the big picture, unplug, and restore.

Don’t forget, a little goes a long way! Take 30 min to go inside and Find What Feels Good.

Let me know how it goes down below!

I cannot thank you enough for this. Today I woke up thinking, I will attempt whatever Adriene throws at me. It’s been a difficult couple weeks. With a fall at work and worrying about my family in Puerto Rico, this video couldn’t come at a better time. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I tuned into this right after reading about the unbelievable disaster in Las Vagas. My goal is to send loving energy to all, including and especially all those people suffering from biochemical imbalances and traumatic brain damage or other psychological trauma which has resulted in behavioral imbalances.

Thank you Adriene for our videos! They are all full of your kindness and compassion, and the warmth in your voice and your exercises helps me over issues and stress (and of course it feels amazing during all the good days as well!). I felt very peaceful during today’s practice.
Let’s not forget that with all the horrible and tragic stuff happening in the world every day, there’s also a huge number of positive energy, of kindness, of compassion and inspiration. Let’s all strive to be better people – I feel that yoga is a good start! 🙂

Thank you so much x. I am in my own personal trauma as well as feeling all the turbulence in the world. My anxiety was huge this morning. This session really helped me to breath away some of that & you always bring a smile to my face. On the funny side, my dog almost mirrored Benjys movements …. Maybe there’s a canine session going on too Xox

Wonderful 30 minutes of relaxation, focus and de-stressing techniques. Key practice for any time and especially important with our current state of tragedies and ongoing natural disasters.

I came across you and your website from a friend I ran into today. I am a 55 year old widow of 4 years getting ready to have a hip replacement surgery in November. Living without my best friend has been so hard and going through a significant surgery at this time in my life without him by my side is so weird. That’s the only way I know how to put it after 22 years of being lucky enough to be married to my soulmate! I need something to relax me and help me find the sleep that keeps on running away from me. I hope this will help me…Starting tomorrow! Wish me luck ☺ Thank you ❤

Hi Adriene. I signed up for the 30 day of truth yoga. It’s the first time I will do yoga every day (I’m not too good with new habits…) But today i wasn’t sure i could do it… it was the funeral of my 37 years old stepsister. I dit it anyway and i felt better, and then i remembered seeing this video on facebook. I just want to say THANK YOU! For helping me ease the pain. Now i feel also capable to send love and confort to her mother.

This was just what I needed today after a very tumultuous and emotionally challenging couple of weeks, coming to a peak last night.
I feel calmer, quieter, and sent lots of love out to my loved ones with my positive breaths.
    Namaste x
