  1. Wow thank you so much for this! I spent a while upside down today thanks to this inspiration and instruction. After a while, though, I recorded myself with my phone and found out that I was definitely not in a straight line like I thought I was, so with what felt like a lot of effort (and almost felt like I'd fall the other way), I fixed it and now I'm straight as an arrow ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks so much for this lesson!

  2. I JUST taught myself this last week! One week early! Maybe my YWA following has imbued me with clairvoyance?

  3. Very nice instructions, and I like that you emphasize the strength and stability building before going up. This is way better that what I've experienced in a live yoga class, because you actually understand what the technique is supposed to be. I'm going to work on this step by step, as you instruct.

You have a nice smile with beautiful, natural teeth.

  4. Wow, I managed to do it after one week thanks to your progressive approach. I am so proud of myself! Thank you so much for helping me on this breakthrough! ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. I did it and this made me so happy inspite of many negative things in my life right now, somehow this accomplishment makes everything seem okay and I have you to thank for that Adriene! Thank you very very much!

  6. Hi Adrienne,

I've surfed the web last night looking for headstand instructions, having heard so much about "what a great feeling blablabla"... So, randomly, I picked yours.

Have to say, it lead me to two nice discoveries:

    - your videos, with amazing explanations (it makes sense! their is a technique and not just voodoo!!!) and fun and jokes!

    - and the technique for headstand... I tried a bit last night (I'm very "feeble" in the arms, so carefully), not much result, but I build it up a bit, position-wise, thanks to all the explanations. And I've just tried again tonight, thinking, there was no reason I couldn't go a bit further!
So after a bit of fumbling, almost giving up and getting help doing it against a wall (no friend to help or secure me), I did it!! completely!! Ok; with the help of the wall slightly (more as a security bump), but I did unfold my legs and lasted 30 seconds (wouldn't force it, regarding the above mentioned "feeble" arms ๐Ÿ˜‰ ).
I was totally blown away that I could make it at all, and so fast!! Of course I'll build up my strength, knowledge and without wall in the end, but at least, now I know what to look for, and the feeling is indeed, very surprising and amazing!! so it helps to have something to look forward to motivate.

So thanksss so much for this ๐Ÿ™‚
Afterwards, I'll get to the crow position, which video I already watched ๐Ÿ˜‰

  7. Hey Adriene!
First off huge fan! My girlfriends and I can't get enough of your videos and you!

I wanted to see if you had posted any videos of handstands? You explain everything so throughly and make everything seem simple. Been working on my handstand and thought you might have posted something that will help!

Thanks again for all the posts and for being you!

    Love,
    Your Colorado fans! โ›ฐ

  8. Is it normal to experience pressure in your head in inverted poses such as a headstand? I feel that very often, not always but very often, like my head is about to explode, so uncomfortable! I wonder what that is all about, is it something worrying?
